Art for Art’s Sake 2021 has finished.

Firstly, a big thank you to all that went to the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts to view this year’s exhibition.

For those that were unable to attend please do have a look and “like” your favorites. You are more than welcome to add comments as I’m sure that the proud artists would love to see these.

Most of the pieces do have an artist statement. We encourage you to have a read!

All artworks will now be returned to their respective artist so that parents and carers can hang them up with pride!

Art for Art’s Sake!

Since our inaugural start in 2013 (titled “Flying Solo through the Spectrum”), KZ Speech has been providing our city and regional clients, along with the broader Western Australian community, an event to express themselves through our yearly Art Exhibition.

Each year artists have worked individually and together to represent themselves through art under a collective common theme. This year our art curator (and amazing Occupational Therapist), Rachelle Quintner has chosen “Art for Art’s Sake”. When asked why this, Rachelle said the exhibition title draws on the philosophy that the true value of art lies within the art itself separate from any other function.

Places are VERY limited for the opening night (maximum 30 people) due to COVID restrictions and if attending the opening night you must obtain a ticket (FREE) through Eventbrite via the following link.

Congratulations Jayden!

On Wednesday, March 31st 2021, Jayden Moss was awarded the 2020 Variety Heart Scholarship to pursue Athletics.

Jayden is a regular at KZ speech and for the past 12 years he has actively been involved in WA Athletics both locally and at a state level. Since the age of 7 Jayden has won numerous local and state running medals. Jayden's specialties are the 200m, 400m and 3km cross country.

Jayden’s talent and achievements were recognised by Variety - the Children’s Charity WA in 2020 when he was the successful recipient of one of their annual Heart Scholarship Award.

Jayden will be working towards representing Western Australia at the 2021 Australian All Schools Championships held in December of this year in the Eastern States. His scholarship will assist with the trip and also Athletics equipment that he will use throughout the year.

Even though the awards presentation night was delayed due to COVID-19 last year, we were happy and proud to have been able to celebrate this wonderful achievement with Jayden and his Family.
