Non chemical weeding solutions Why? What? We offer a viable alternative to poisons which has been tried, tested and proven in the commercial environment.

At Greensteam Australia we believe that Glyphosate and other non selective herbicides are being used in our urban environment where they dont need to be. For example footpaths, traffic islands, curb lines and other engineered surfaces in our community do not need to be drenched in toxic herbicides when there is a viable non chemical solution that works just as well and does not play havoc on our environment or our health. We use the Steam wand range to provide you with the most efficient thermal steam weed control technology available anywhere!

We’re expanding our team and looking for reliable, motivated people to join our Streetscapes and Natural Areas crews. Have you got what is takes?

REQUIRED FOR BOTH STREETSCAPES & NATURAL AREAS:
• Basic Worksite Traffic Management ticket (must have before start date if successful)
• White Card
• Driver’s licence & reliable transport (must arrive by 6:45am)
• Strong reliability and work ethic
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Able to work effectively in a team with limited supervision
• Solid understanding of WHS procedures
• Physically fit (lift 20kg, walk 3km+, operate equipment for extended periods)

🛣️ STREETSCAPES – Highly Regarded:
• Traffic management experience
• First Aid Certificate
• Manual driver’s licence
• Experience with 2-stroke equipment (whipper snippers, blowers, etc.)
• Chainsaw ticket
• Availability from 4:30am when required

🌱 NATURAL AREAS – Highly Regarded:
• Minimum Cert II in Conservation & Land Management or Horticulture
• First Aid Certificate
• Manual driver’s licence
• Passion for environmental management and bushland restoration
• Experience working in harsh outdoor conditions
• Ability to carry up to 15kg
• Chainsaw ticket

🌱 2025 Planting Season – Coastal Restoration 🌱

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside the City of Stirling to help implement several dune restoration projects across our coastline.

Under the City’s guidance and planning, we supported direct planting efforts at sites including Bennion, the primary dune face at Trigg, and the Scarborough Beach Shacks, and assisted with planting set up including placement, hole digging, watering, and guarding for community groups at several other sites along the coast.

City of Stirling’s amazing in house nursery provided several of the selected species to be planted and the remainder supplied by the wonderful folks at Natural Area.

Our role involved placing plants in areas where they’re best equipped to survive, based on local conditions and dune structure, and getting them into the ground with proper support.

🌾 A huge thank you goes out to all the community and volunteer groups who contributed their time and effort to help get these plants in. Your commitment plays a vital role in the success of these projects.

Here’s a snapshot of the planting totals:

🌀 Bennion Beach – 770 native plants
🌀 Waterman’s Bay– 518 plants
🌀 South Trigg – 654 plants
🌀 Brighton Beach – 2,402 plants
🌀 Trigg Primary Dune – 3,350 plants
🌀 Trigg Surf Lookout – 1,992 plants
🌀 Scarborough Dunes – 2,418 plants
🌀 Scarborough Beach Shacks – 225 plants
