Alhamdulillah, by the will of Allah, we were able to compile a self defense zikr and dua exclusively for daily recitation and thrilled to announce the release of our latest Amazon E-book .

These zikrs were collected from Al-Quran and hadiths and were arranged to be concise for simple practice. Whoever wears an amulet is entrusted to it :

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ عَقَدَ عُقْدَةً ثُمَّ نَفَثَ فِيهَا فَقَدْ سَحَرَ وَمَنْ سَحَرَ فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ وَمَنْ تَعَلَّقَ شَيْئًا وُكِلَ إِلَيْهِ

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever ties a knot and blows on it has performed magic, and whoever performs magic has committed idolatry. Whoever hangs something as a charm will be entrusted to it.”

Prohibition of using magic to counter magic:

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ النُّشْرَةِ فَقَالَ هُوَ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about seeking a cure from magic (al-nushrah). The Prophet said, “They are among the works of Satan.”

Surat al-Baqarah and Ali ‘Imran :

عَنْ بُرَيْدَة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَعَلَّمُوا الْبَقَرَةَ فَإِنَّ أَخْذَهَا بَرَكَةٌ وَتَرْكَهَا حَسْرَةٌ وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُهَا الْبَطَلَةُ تَعَلَّمُوا الْبَقَرَةَ وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ فَإِنَّهُمَا هُمَا الزَّهْرَاوَانِ يَجِيئَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ أَوْ غَيَايَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا فِرْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافَّ تُجَادِلَانِ عَنْ صَاحِبِهِمَا

Buraydah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Learn Surat al-Baqarah, for adhering to it is blessed, leaving it is sorrow, and the sorcerers cannot defeat it. Learn al-Baqarah and Ali ‘Imran, for they are both the brightly illuminated chapters coming on the Day of Resurrection as if they were two clouds, or two canopies of shade, or as If they are a decisive wall of birds in ranks, arguing on behalf of their reciters.”

Whoever prays at night in Ramadan will be forgiven :

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرَغِّبُ فِي قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ فِيهِ بِعَزِيمَةٍ فَيَقُولُ مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ فَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ كَانَ الْأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَصَدْرًا مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace, and blessings be upon him, would encourage standing for night prayer in the month of Ramadan without making it an obligation, and he would say, “Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan due to faith and seeking reward, then all of his previous sins will be forgiven.” After the Prophet died, this became a regular practice and continued throughout the caliphate of Abu Bakr and Umar.

THE FOUR RECITATIONS MOST BELOVED TO ALLAH

عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحَبُّ الْكَلاَمِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَرْبَعٌ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لاَ يَضُرُّكَ بَأَيِّهِنَّ بَدَأْتَ

Samurah bin Jundub narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “There are four words dearest to Allah: ‘Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah)’, ‘Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah)’, ‘Laa ilaaha illallah (There is no God but Allah)’, and ‘Allahuakbar (God is Most Great)’. It does not matter which you say first.”

Narrated in Sahih Muslim
Grade: Sahih (authentic)

Reflections:
1. Every Muslim should regularly recite zikir (remembrance of Allah).

2. Four zikir which are dearest to Allah are

a. Tasbih – سُبْحَانَ اللّهُ (Subhanallah)
b. Tahmid – اَلْحَمْدُلِلّهِ (Alhamdulillah)
c. Tahlil – لاَ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ (Laa ilaaha illallah)
d. Takbir – اَللّهُ اَكْبَرُ (Allahuakbar)

3. There is no specific order in which these zikir should be chanted.

4. A similar hadith tells of the weight of these recitations:

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَنْ أَقُولَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ

Abi Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “To say, ‘Subhanallahi walhamdulillahi walaa ilaaha illallahu wallahu akbar’ is dearer to me than all that the sun rises over (i.e. the world).”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ وَكَّلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحِفْظِ زَكَاةِ رَمَضَانَ فَأَتَانِي آتٍ فَجَعَلَ يَحْثُو مِنْ الطَّعَامِ فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ لَأَرْفَعَنَّكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ فَقَالَ إِذَا أَوَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ فَاقْرَأْ آيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِّ لَنْ يَزَالَ مَعَكَ مِنْ اللَّهِ حَافِظٌ وَلَا يَقْرَبُكَ شَيْطَانٌ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَكَ وَهُوَ كَذُوبٌ ذَاكَ شَيْطَانٌ

صحيح البخاري

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entrusted me to protect the charity of Ramadan. Someone came to me and began taking from the food. I took hold of him and I said, “I will certainly take you to the Messenger of Allah!” Abu Huraira told the story to the Prophet and he said, “The man told me that when I go to bed, I should recite the verse of the throne. Allah would appoint a protector with me and no devil would come near to me until morning.” The Prophet said, “He told you the truth, although he is a liar. That was Satan.”

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ تُفْتَحُ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ، فَيُغْفَرُ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا، إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ كَانَتْ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَخِيهِ شَحْنَاءُ، فَيُقَالُ‏:‏ أَنْظِرُوا هَذَيْنِ حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا‏.‏

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The gates of the Garden are opened on Mondays and Thursdays. Every person who does not associate anything with Allah is forgiven except for someone who has enmity between existing between him and another man. It is said, 'Leave these two until they make peace.'"

PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS of disturbance by Jinn or Black Magic:

1. Headache or pain at a particular of body especially in the evening
2. Body feels heavy and lazy
3. Difficulty to meet marriage candidates
4. Body feel numb and aching (especially at joints)

6. Back or waist ache without reason
7. Chest pain in the evening
8. Feel of moving objects under the skin
9. Menstrual more than 15 days
10. Irregular menstrual cycle
11. Strong cramps and menstrual pain
12. Irritation around the uterus (feels hot, hard, and being tangled)
