Our Christmas Board Games Night at the Victoria Park Community Centre was such a joy 🎁

From the moment everyone arrived, the room was full of laughter, friendly competition, and that warm holiday buzz. Elizabeth absolutely outdid herself with the baking; every treat vanished in record time 🍪 And of course, the surprise visit from Santa was pure magic 🎅

A huge thank you to Doyle, Mary, Nathan, Charlotte, and Rahul for hosting and making the night feel so welcoming and effortless 💚 Your warmth and generosity set the tone for a truly memorable celebration.

Thanks to the Town of Victoria Park for making this event free for our members!

🪘🎗️Every Contribution Matters – Celebrating Our Volunteers!

At Activate Mental Health, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. Last Friday night, with generous support of the Department of Communities, we held an African Drumming Celebration to celebrate . This event was facilitated by the wonderful team at Akwaaba African Drumming, Art and Craft.

This vibrant event was filled with rhythm, laughter, and connection! It was a powerful reminder that every act of service helps build a stronger, more inclusive community.

Some of the testimonials we received included:

💬 "Moving to the beats and laughing with others certainly made my inner child happy"

💬 "There were loud beats, and the dancing and laughter were infectious. I had a ball, and I would say that, with all the mixing that was happening, we all did."

💬 "The laughter and enthusiasm for the session fostered a strong sense of unity, encouraged collaboration, and created an atmosphere of positivity and shared purpose."

💬 "I left feeling more connected to the other Activators and appreciated by Activate Mental Health"

Thank you, Kofi and Sally, from Akwaaba African Drumming, Art and Craft, for making our night so memorable.

We’re also grateful for the generous support of the Department of Communities, for making this celebration happen.
