We care for our patients with the aim to be “with you every step of the way”. Care for you and your baby throughout your pregnancy, birth and your 4th trimester. Women receive pregnancy and delivery care from their chosen specialist and meet all the specialists on the after hours on call roster. Access private maternity care & high quality service for lower than you expect. Providing excellence in Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology services in Perth since 2011.

Meet Dr Patrick Wu 👨‍⚕️Dr Pat is a specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with interests in general obstetrics & repair.
He contributes actively to the teaching of medical students & junior medical staff, as well as being a talented pianist! 🎹

👶 What is Jaundice? 👶 Some newborns develop a yellowish skin or their whites of the eyes turn yellowish, which is known as jaundice.

Jaundice is a build-up of ‘bilirubin’- a pigment in the blood. Frequent breastfeeding helps treat it as bilirubin is passed in the baby's stools & urine. Most cases of jaundice in newborns clear up by the end of the first week but you may need extra treatment which involves putting the baby under some special lights.

Your baby will be checked for jaundice in the hospital and at their first baby check-up.

Held every second Thursday (next one 26 March) - no need to book! 📍 At Lake Monger Recreation Club, Wembley & open to those who have recently given birth at SJOG Subiaco Hospital.

Older Babies Group (3–10 months)
🕒 9.30am – 11.30am
Explore your baby’s milestones, development, and important parenting and women’s health topics, with guest speakers and midwife support.

New Babies Group (0–3 months)
🕒 12.30pm – 2.30pm
A supportive space to chat about feeding, settling, and any questions you may have, guided by a midwife and lactation consultant.

We are POGS, your obstetrician practice in Subiaco, Mt Lawley, Perth and surrounding suburbs. We promote the wellbeing and dignity of women. We provide the highest quality care in obstetrics and gynaecology in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Our Perth Obstetricians & Gynaecologists practice is made up of our 3 primary obstetricians, 3 midwives and a supportive admin team. Our obstetricians are Dr Ana Perkovic, Dr Pierre Smith and Dr Patrick Wu.

We look forward to being your obstetrician. The team supports each woman and her partner, providing care according to their needs. Pregnancy is as an exciting time for the woman and her partner and our aim is a safe and pleasant experience for her childbirth.
