Iโve been feeling s**tty lately and too focused on getting my protein in that I skipped all the other s**t.
Turns out my Iron levels were so fu***ng low that I could not deal with life ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Had an Iron infusion Wednesday and here is to feeling much better in the future
Iron is an essential mineral crucial for producing hemoglobin, which carries oxygen throughout the body, supports energy metabolism, and maintains immune health.
Organ meats, particularly liver (beef, chicken, or lamb) are the highest food sources of iron, often providing over 10mg per 100g. ( I fu***ng hate liver of any kind) Other top, highly absorbable (heme) iron sources include shellfish (clams, oysters), red meat (beef, kangaroo), and sardines. For plant-based (non-heme) options, pumpkin seeds, tofu, legumes, and fortified cereals are excellent.
