Feeling sudden pain? Forget complicated first aid. There's a surprisingly simple technique that might help.

When injury strikes, don't just panic. Try this:

Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold it.
Bear down *towards* the pain, sending oxygen there. This can help ease discomfort.
Then, release your breath slowly.

You can repeat this 5-10 times.

It's amazing how basic techniques can offer relief.
