🌟 Client Spotlight – Real Voices, Real Impact 🌟
We are incredibly grateful to work alongside long-term participants who trust us with their journey. Recently, Geoffrey Thomas shared this feedback with our team:

“I appreciate everything that ROS does for me. My Support Coordinator always explains things so I can understand and helps me with appointments, meals, and anything I need support with. To me, ROS means ‘Really Outstanding Services!’ I am very happy with the support I receive.”

Thank you, Geoffrey, for your kind words and trust.

At ROS Recovery we make decisions with people, not for paperwork. When a participant wanted to rebuild community connections, our team paused a standard group program and worked with them to design one-on-one outings that matched their goals, pace and comfort. Over months this led to steady confidence, new friendships and skills that kept them connected to Perth life. We respect each person’s choices and focus on long-term outcomes, not quick fixes. Sometimes it’s the small moments that matter most.

If we’ve got the time, I’ll always stop to take a photo with a blue tree — not for social media, not for show, but as a reminder. A reminder that conversations around men’s mental health matter. That visibility matters. That someone cared enough to paint that tree so others wouldn’t feel so alone.

Seeing these trees still makes a difference to me — and I know it does for many other men too. They’re a quiet signal that struggling doesn’t mean failing, and that support exists even when it doesn’t feel obvious.

At Recovery Oriented Services, this is what recovery looks like to us: noticing people, slowing down, creating space for reflection, and reminding one another that help can come in many forms — sometimes even in the shape of a blue tree on the side of the road.

If you’re doing it tough, you’re not invisible. And you don’t have to carry it alone.

Keep up the amazing work to everyone helping spread that message — it really does make a difference.

There’s a lot of confusion about NDIS funding — let’s clear up common myths and show practical ways ROS Recovery helps turn plan funding into real supports across Perth and regional WA.
https://wix.to/l5AzFdb

• Myth: “All plans cover everything.” Reality: Plans are tailored to goals and reasonable, necessary supports. How we help: We review your plan with you, identify priorities, and match supports to goals so funding is used where it matters most.

• Myth: “You can’t change providers mid-plan.” Reality: You can switch if a provider isn’t right for you. How we help: We support transitions, liaise with providers, and keep supports continuous to avoid gaps.

• Myth: “Only clinical services are funded.” Reality: Funding can include psychosocial supports, skill-building, and community participation. How we help: We link you to practical services—peer support, community programs, and capacity-building activities—that promote recovery.

• Myth: “Support coordination is just paperwork.” Reality: Good coordination connects you to services, helps resolve issues, and builds independence. How we help: Our coordinators advocate, negotiate providers, and help you use your plan confidently.

If you’re in Perth WA or regional WA and want clear, person-centred guidance on how your NDIS plan can work for you, we’re here to help. Get in touch or visit our website to learn more.

Myth vs Fact: NDIS Support in Perth (Explained Simply)

Myth: The NDIS only funds medical treatment.
Fact: The NDIS doesn’t fund medical care, but it does fund supports like psychosocial recovery coaching and support coordination that help people build daily living skills, confidence, and independence.

Myth: You have to accept whichever provider you’re given.
Fact: You have choice and control. You can choose NDIS providers in Perth who practise genuinely person-centred care. The right fit matters — and it often leads to better outcomes.

Myth: Support coordination is just paperwork.
Fact: Good support coordination helps connect you to the right services, supports plan goals, reduces overwhelm, and can significantly ease stress for participants and families.

If you’re unsure what supports might work best for you or your family, having a conversation can help bring clarity.
