Heading away this Christmas and want to get the most out of your spray tan?

My top secret is hydration. Keeping your skin well-hydrated can help your tan last up to 10 days.
Drink plenty of water and moisturise daily for best results, use our Moroccan Tan Extender
One thing to watch out for: pool chlorine is your tan’s worst enemy, so limit soaking where you can and moisturise after swimming.

Why You Get Green Pits From Spray Tans, And How to Fix (and Prevent!) It

Don’t worry, this is so common, but totally fixable and preventable!

So why does it happen?
That green tint under the arms is usually caused by:
• Sweat
• Deodorant residue
• Leftover soap or body-wash
These products can react with the tanning solution and pull that temporary greenish colour.
If it happens during your tan:
Don’t panic! When you rinse (with water only — no soap) it often washes straight off.
If any tint remains, gently exfoliate the area with a soft mitt or mild exfoliant to lift the residue and even out the tone.

How to prevent green pits altogether:
✔️ Avoid soap, body wash, deodorant, lotions, or perfumes 24 hours before your tan
✔️ Shave 24–48 hours before your appointment (never right before!)
✔️ Skip pre-tan and post-tan workouts — sweat is the enemy here
✔️ Make sure your underarms are completely clean, dry, and product-free before spraying
✔️ Wear loose clothing after your tan so the area stays dry and irritation-free

Follow these tips and your tan will be flawless from pits to toes.

It’s been a huge few days… and not in the good way. The kids and I came home on Thursday to find the house filled with smoke and the dryer smouldering. Those few minutes felt like forever seeing the dryer on fire and making a quick call to 000 was honestly terrifying.

Even though I’d turned the dryer off before leaving, it had been smouldering for five hours and when I came in to put it out it then ignited with flames. The kids were so strong and calm, and I’m incredibly proud of how they handled it. I want to say a massive thank you to our local CFA—not only for arriving so quickly, but for helping to calm me down when I was completely overwhelmed. (Aka a mess)

And to Matt I’m sorry it would have been terrifying being on the phone to me and the kids not knowing what’s happening just hearing me yell there’s a fire in the house. Thank you for always being my rock and picking me up when I crumble. I would honestly be lost without you.

To all my beautiful friends and clients who saw the alert on VicEmergency and messaged, called, or came by to check on us, thank you. We so lucky to have such beautiful people around us.

And to my wonderful neighbours in the court who dropped off cleaning supplies, offered helping hands, and even brought over a bag of goodies to keep me going, you are absolute angels. The constant check-ins have meant so much.

The house is okay overall (though it smells strongly of smoke!) and it’s now getting the royal treatment with cleaning. I’m just so grateful we arrived home when we did and that everyone is safe.
