Thursday 19th March-My Aged Care Information Morning Tea
A helpful session for carers of seniors in our community, and independent residents over the age of 65 years.
This is a great introduction for Carers. Many families in Wollondilly now have ageing parents living in the home or granny flat. The thing is that a lot of people faced with these new arrangements have no idea of the support available to them and how to access help.
My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s entry point to aged care services, but many people DON’T realise that you generally MUST be assessed through My Aged Care before receiving government-funded services like:
• Home Care Packages, now referred to Support at Home
• Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
• Residential aged care
Our discussion, followed by morning tea, will help carers understand and navigate My Aged Care. It’s important because receiving services can have significant wait times. Families are often shocked to discover there’s a queue, and they want to know what interim supports (like CHSP or private services) are available.
Please RSVP as limited spaces will be available 02 4677 2524

Welcome. Our Best Mates have joined us for the long road ahead.
Community is at the heart of everything we do at Shout a Mate a Meal and thanks to the incredible generosity of four local businesses with big hearts, we’re taking a huge step forward.
These legends have come on board as our first official Best Mates sponsors, helping us build a dedicated website that will take our giving program from a local initiative to a national platform, connecting more Aussies, one meal and one act of kindness at a time. They are the Foundation Sponsors of a wonderful initiative that started in Wollondilly & Camden.
Our Community, Their Community!
We’re proud to introduce:

From all of us at Shout a Mate a Meal, thank you for joining us for the long road ahead.

Thursday 19th March-My Aged Care Information Morning Tea
A helpful session for carers of seniors in our community, and independent residents over the age of 65 years.
People often ask:
“What exactly is My Aged Care?”
“Is it compulsory?”
Why they ask:

• Home Care Packages, now known as Support at Home
• Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

Families are often shocked to discover there’s a queue, and they want to know what interim supports (like CHSP or private services) are available.
