🚨 Emergency Calls 🚨
Did you know about 300,000 people call St John WA through Triple Zero (000) each year? One in five of those calls don’t require an ambulance.

If you’re unsure whether it’s an emergency, our call takers are trained to help. They’ll talk you through the situation and guide you on what to do next.

But if it’s not an emergency, you can help us stay available for the most vulnerable members of our community by using these resources instead:
➡️ HealthyWA – healthywa.wa.gov.au
➡️ Healthdirect – call 1800 022 222 or visit healthdirect.gov.au
➡️ St John Urgent Care – for non-emergency walk-in treatment: stjohnhealth.com.au/walk-in-urgent-care

Save Triple Zero (000) for emergencies. That way, we can keep doing what we do best – getting help to those who need it fast.

đź’š MEET THE TEAM đź’š

This is Zac, who has been a volunteer with St John on and off since 2002. Thats over 13 years!
Here are a few fun facts about Zac and why he does what he does.

How long have you been a volunteer for St John?
I started as a cadet technically in early 2002, but my record started when I transferred to Rockingham in 2003. I have been active in some capacity within the organisation for most of that time apart from a short break of about 3 years.

Why did you sign up to Volunteer with St John?
I signed back up to Pinjarra and Dwellingup as a way to support the local area and give back to a service that has given me national representative roles, travel, competition, and a career.

What's your favourite thing about Pinjarra and Dwellingup Depot?
I think the hybrid model is a great benefit to volunteers and the community, allowing a higher level of care and clinical understanding to be delivered and shared. I'd like to see greater availability of the hybrid model for regional areas.

What is a random fact about you?
I once resuscitated a suicidal gold fish that went on to live for approximately 2 years after it jumped out of its tank and was found on the floor.
