Wonderful community support thank you Belinda McGowan Foundation Pittsworth and District Campdraft Assoc Inc Pat Weir MP

Just days before Christmas, we received the most wonderful news - the Pittsworth and District Campdraft Assoc Inc, with the generous support of their sponsors, had pledged $10,000 to The Belinda McGowan Foundation to fund a cuddle bed combination for the Pittsworth community.

Last week, Barry and Deb Standing proudly presented the cheque on behalf of the Association, helping make a long-held wish a reality for Beauaraba Living, a supportive, not-for-profit aged care community.

This cuddle bed will provide comfort, connection and compassion for residents and their families - allowing loved ones to be close, especially in life’s final moments.

Bruce McGowan said “TBMF are delighted to receive this incredible gift from the Pittsworth and District Campdraft Association Inc and their sponsors. We also want to thank the Honourable Pat Weir MP for his unwavering support for the Pittsworth community and his stewardship in the facilitation of the cuddle bed for Beauaraba Living.

Together, we’re changing the conversation around end-of-life care - one cuddle bed at a time.

We are pleased to advise that the additional infection control measures recently in place have now been lifted.

In line with the infection control guidelines all staff working in the following unit will continue to wear surgical masks until Friday 13th February 2026.

Congratulations to Dr Kate on 40 years of dedicated service in the medical profession. She is a deeply valued and respected GP at Beauaraba Medical Centre and for many residents here at Beauaraba Living.

A slice of cake was just what the doctor ordered on Tuesday, as family and colleagues of Dr. Katherine McEniery gathered at Beauaraba Living to celebrate her impressive 40 year career in medicine.
