Foot Health Tip Tuesday! 🦶

If you’re at a pool, gym shower or even a hotel room shower… PLEASE wear a pair of waterproof shoes that can prevent fungus from spreading in and around your toes and foot. Fungus isn’t the only microscopic organism that likes to hide in these conditions… Viruses like HPV.. otherwise seen in the form of WARTs can be caught by going barefoot in these environments.

Stay safe and pack a pair of thongs! 🩴 🚿

Imperial Podiatry is still closed for business until our podiatrist returns from maternity leave… However, we’d love to introduce the safe arrival of Podiatrist Kirsty’s daughter, Maya (pronounced My-er). 💜 Born on 17 May 2024 with a full head of dark hair like her mum.

Kirsty and her husband, Mitch have decided to keep her facial identity private online but upon her return she will happily share more details with you.

Thank you to those who have reached out while we have been on a small hiatus. Your support means so much to us and we are delighted that we will be able to help the community once again in future.

Until then, take care of yourself and your feet by ensuring you visit a local podiatrist as regularly as possible.

2024 is looking a little different for Imperial Podiatry, and we would like to take this time to say THANK YOU to our wonderful community of patients, allied health professionals and community groups who have help to support this small business to grow and prosper.

It brings us GREAT joy to announce that our Director & Senior Podiatrist, Kirsty is officially on maternity leave until further notice. We kindly appreciate your understanding and support during these times as we know change can be difficult. We endeavour to provide further assistance for external businesses that can continue providing podiatry care to our community during this temporary CLOSURE.

HAPPY FRIDAY ☀️ 🏃‍♂️

Patient spotlight to end the week.

Joel competed in the Bridge2Brisbane last weekend & came in with a PB of 43mins!

How good is a sub50 10k, especially as Joel started his running journey at the beginning of the year & has been smashing goals ever since.

We were happy to provide Joel with custom made inserts for his shoes to help with his gait (running patterns) and lower limb function.

We are so keen to see what next challenge Joel takes on, not only as a runner but as a local small business owner himself - Finlayson's plastering.

PATIENT SPOTLIGHT 🌟

One of our regulars, Nicky, competed in her first ever full marathon over the weekend & crossed the finish line in under 5 hours!! Wow!! How impressive 👌

We’ve been working on Nicky’s lower limb strength and gait training, plus buffering out any niggles along the way in preparation for her longer distance goals.

Nicky came to us with lower limb pain while running 5km and now she is smashing goals with strong and powerful legs and feet!!

We love to see our athletes shine!

Congratulations Nicky on such an amazing achievement! 🏃‍♀️

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for you next! 🙌
