Meet Dr Tom! 😊

We’re so happy to welcome Dr Tom Turner to the team, now seeing patients at our new Warragul clinic alongside Dr Sam.

Tom’s path into chiropractic started as a patient himself after dealing with ongoing sporting injuries growing up. That experience sparked his interest in how the body works and how the right care can make a real difference.

He’s spent several years working across clinics in Melbourne’s south east and enjoys helping people of all ages! Tom’s approach is relaxed, practical and tailored to each person, with a focus on getting to the root of the issue rather than just chasing symptoms. He’s big on helping patients move better, feel stronger and get back to doing the things they love 🧡

No better way to top off the year than learning a new skill! Although not sure how much any of us retained 😅 it’s always a good time when we can get the whole team together and celebrate another year!

Good posture has a lot more to do with keeping your spine curved than you probably think.

What makes good posture healthy posture is understanding that it’s not about standing stiff or forcing yourself to be perfectly straight. It’s about balance and alignment.

Your spine has natural curves that act like a spring, helping your body absorb shock and move freely without strain. When those curves are healthy, your muscles, joints, and organs can all work the way they’re meant to.

When posture breaks down, your body starts to compensate, and that’s when problems appear, like: pain, poor sleep, inflammation, digestive issues, breathing difficulties, and higher stress levels.

A lot of patients understandably want to skip to the part where they start seeing results, and many think those results come after just one or two sessions (you know who you are 😅). But real, lasting change takes time, consistency, and proper guidance!

Here once again to remind you that when it comes to your health, your nervous system STILL isn’t getting the attention it deserves 🙃  
We’ve lost count of how many people come through our doors doing everything they’ve been told is ‘right.’  They’re sleeping more. Eating well. Meditating. Taking the supplements. Trying to slow down. And they still feel flat, wired, foggy or just not themselves. 
What we see in practice every day is that nervous system dysregulation is often behind this. But barely anyone is talking about it in a way that’s practical or easy to understand! 
In the same way chiropractic has been misunderstood, so has the role of the nervous system in how we actually feel and function. 
As a team, we’ve seen how surface-level care (even within our own industry) just isn’t enough. It’s easy to focus on pain and ignore everything else. But we know the body doesn’t work like that. Nothing works in isolation. 
Your nervous system sets the tone for your ENTIRE body. It affects how you sleep, how you recover, how you digest, how you regulate emotion, how you focus, and how you respond to stress. 
This is why we focus on it. Not to overcomplicate things, and definitely not to sell a miracle fix.  But because for a lot of our patients, it’s often the missing piece. And when we help the body reconnect, real change happens. 
Chiropractic care, when done well, can be a powerful tool to support this. Not as a one-size-fits-all treatment, but as a tailored way to help people feel safe, grounded and functional in their own body again.
