Good morning! Expressions of interest are now open for my class ‘Yoga for positive ageing’!
Each class is Hatha yoga based, which means it follows a pattern of physical postures following by a relaxation exercise and a short meditation. Each class is designed around a theme. Alternate postures may be provided so that everyone is included throughout. Whether you are a beginner, or wanting to come back to a face to face yoga class, all are welcome.
Please contact me via email: goodyoga1@westnet.com.au or 0423433781 to register your interest by 27th January.
Classes will operate on Monday mornings (Woy Woy) with a minimum of 6 people.
Thanks! - Wendy 🙏

It is now officially the ‘silly season’ as preparations for Christmas celebrations seem to ramp up. Take some time for gentle movement and reflection to stay balanced over the festive period ahead. Maintaining a regular yoga practice enhances overall wellbeing across the lifespan. Keep moving! Here are some questions that have been asked during my classes:
1. Do I have to take my shoes off?
I know - we are not really used to having bare feet in public but it’s really ok! Without the constraint of footwear our feet are free to move. We can also more easily notice the shifting of body weight and how our feet are feeling.
2. Do I have to lie down?
This element can be an important part of a fundamental yoga class and it is encouraged. However, if medical or other issues impact on this, then those issues can take precedence and alternatives can be offered.
3. You are called Good Yoga and run your classes in the Anglican Church hall so are you affiliated with the church?
No - I am just fortunate to be able to hire the hall which is located in the heart of the Woy Woy community.
4. How long have you been teaching yoga?
I have a general teaching background and have always been interested in the benefits and psychology of movement - after practising yoga for some time, I decided to train to become a yoga instructor in 2018. 🙏

Hello dear yoga friends
Our class last Monday was designed to give the knees a break - I called the class ‘The Bees Knees’ (lots of bees in the garden at the moment!) At the end of class after packing up I walked down to the Post Office. I waited for a vehicle to go past before crossing the road.….. I had to look twice … on the side of the van was the logo ‘ The bees knees - gardening service! So we’re going one more time with the Bees Knees class on Monday! Hope to see you there!

Yoga for Positive Ageing - this is both the philosophy and the practice of our class. In terms of philosophy, every day is a new day. Our bodies and minds may feel quite different from day to day. Tuning in to how we feel, provides the focus to individual practice and a reminder to start from where we are in the present moment.
In terms of the physical practice, movement provides the catalyst for the development of improved strength, endurance and balance over time. Physical postures also provide impetus for boosting focus and memory.
Each class includes the physical component and a guided relaxation and meditation component - aiming to provide a complete yoga practice.
Regular practice provides the optimum opportunity for improving overall health and well-being. Each class offers modifications or variations inclusive of individual.
Woy Woy- one class - one time - 9.30 Monday mornings.
