🌀 World Keratoconus Day 🌀

Keratoconus is a condition where the usually round cornea thins and bulges, which can cause blurry or distorted vision and light sensitivity. It's part of a group of conditions called ectatic corneal disorders, where the cornea gradually changes shape over time.

💙 November is Diabetes Awareness Month 💙

Did you know that diabetes can affect your eyes? Diabetic Retinopathy happens when high blood sugar levels damage the tiny blood vessels in the retina, the part of your eye that sends visual signals to your brain.

It can progress without obvious symptoms and may lead to vision loss if left untreated. Those with diabetes, especially those with high blood sugar or blood pressure, are at higher risk.
