Remembering the service my family has done for both Australia and New Zealand. My great grandfather Bernard Congdon was in the Boer War, my two grandfathers, Albert Congdon and William Hawkins were in WW1, my father Robert Hawkins was in WW2 and my son Daniel Jamieson served in the army for 13 years with three overseas posts to East Timor. Very proud of their contribution. Thank you for your service.

Recipe:
*2 cups of flour
*1/2 teaspoon baking powder
*1 1/4 cup of sweet potato puree
*4 tablespoons of melted butter
*1/3-1/2 cup grated cheese

You can add any spices you might want! Bake at 180C for 20 minutes. You want golden brown for crispy crackers.

I toss mine in melted butter + garlic + parsley flakes for added flavor but not necessary! You can also just toss in melted butter + salt for kids who might not want the green bits.

BBQ Season Just Got Better! ✨
Looking for something a little different for your next gathering? These Halloumi and Vegetable Skewers are my go-to when I want to impress without the stress.

Here’s why I love them: 🧀 Halloumi gets the most beautiful golden crust 🥗 Can be made hours ahead 🌱 Vegetarian-friendly 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kids love helping thread them 🎨 So colorful and photogenic!

The secret? A gorgeous homemade vinaigrette drizzled over while they’re still hot. The vegetables just soak up all that flavor!

They’re delicious warm OR at room temperature, making them perfect for picnics and potlucks too.

🌈 Rainbow Skewers Alert! 🌈
Who else loves a recipe where the kids can help? These Halloumi and Vegetable Skewers are not only gorgeous to look at, but they’re so much fun to make together!

The little ones can thread all those colorful veggies while you prep the homemade vinaigrette. Then just pop them on the BBQ and watch the magic happen – that golden, crispy halloumi is absolutely irresistible!
Perfect for weekend lunches, dinner parties, or even tucked into lunchboxes the next day.
