Sometimes heart attack symptoms aren't always stereotypical 💔

Did you know, as well as chest pain and discomfort, there are some less common heart attack symptoms you shouldn't ignore? 🤢

If you experience the warning signs of a heart attack, tell someone how you feel. If you feel worse or not better after 10 minutes, call Triple Zero (000).🚑

You probably have your house prepped and emergency supplies ready, but do you know what to do if you can't leave home and you need medical help?

The Virtual Emergency Care Service (VECS) along with 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) are available for health advice. 📱

VECS is staffed by doctors and nurses, providing access to unplanned and emergency care online. It's available for conditions that need immediate attention but aren't life-threatening, like allergic reactions, scratches and bites, pain, infections, burns, children with fevers, gastroenteritis and vertigo. 🤒

To access the VECS's specialist emergency care services, by telephone or video conferencing, visit: https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/australian-health-services/healthcare-service/brisbane-city-4000-qld/virtual-emergency-care-service-queensland-virtual-hospital/virtual-care-clinics/a87efc17-8078-4db3-8ba9-480b4a5e3bf9

Cervical screening self-collection is quick, easy, accurate and private. ✅

The self-collection option allows you to collect your own sample from your va**na using a small swab. The sample is then checked for human papillomavirus (HPV) – a common infection that causes almost all cervical cancers.

Cervical screening saves lives by detecting changes early, which can be treated before they develop into cancer. ❤️

If you don't wish to collect your own sample, you can continue to have your Cervical Screening Test done by your chosen healthcare provider using a speculum examination.

Your health is in your hands. 👐

Our Telehealth Programme

By using the telehealth program, our patients can receive quality care from home - improving your access to specialist healthcare and reducing the need to travel for specialist advice.
