PSA for other therapists. This is what happened to start the fire in my treatment room. I had washed and dried my towels and blankets at the laundry mat. I took them back to work and left them in a basket. The heat gradually increased enough for them to spontaneously combust. I had no idea this was a thing. Did you? Possibly not. I’m always paranoid about blowing out candles, turning things off at the power point etc. never in a million years did I think that just leaving clean linen in a basket in my room would start a fire. So for all the therapists out there, after using a dryer, air out your linen and let it cool before putting it away. You’re welcome 🙏

This photo has nothing to do with what I’m about to write. But this photo does make me smile and today, that’s a big thing. So now to the point of this post. Today was a BIG day!! Today I was woken up with the news that there was a fire at the Studio. That fire happened to be in my treatment room. It is gutted. Completely destroyed 😭 So unfortunately I will not be able to do any treatments in the foreseeable future. Yes, I am sad. Yes, I am exhausted. BUT I am also grateful. It could have been SO much worse. First and foremost, I am grateful that no one was hurt. I am grateful that the fire was contained pretty much to the one room (with some damage in an adjoining room and soot throughout the building). I am grateful for the people that spent their day at the studio helping to clean up. I am grateful I am insured. I am grateful for all of the hugs, gifts, flowers, calls and messages of support I have received . I am so unbelievably grateful that due to all of those reasons, it is business as usual at and the only thing affected FOR NOW, is my massage and skin therapy. So many people have asked how they can help. So I’ll just put it out there. You can help by supporting my businesses.
