Insight matters. Itโs the discovery of something important about yourself - your behaviours, your motivations, even unconscious patterns. Insight can be soothing for an overwhelmed mind and it can support change, but insight alone does not create it.
In fact, meaningful shifts can happen without intellectual insight at all.
This is because our nervous system drives how we respond. We might understand our triggers but responding with choice rather than reacting happens when our bodies are in a state of safety and readiness.
Pay attention to what softens you. What happens before the moment your thoughts are calm, you experience internal stillness or have more awareness of your body?
These are moments of felt safety and they open the door to embodied insight and the shifts your system is ready for.
