Shearwater Medical Clinic, Port Fairy Shearwater Medical Clinic is General Practice providing a location for GP's to provide their service One of our passions is in disease prevention.

Nestled on Villiers St, within the historic Moyne Services majestic bluestone building, Shearwater Medical Clinic is located. The clinic was established in 2021, partnering with Moyne Health Service to address the assist with medical staffing for the Urgent Care Centre. This opportunity created the impetus for development of a new clinic in Port Fairy, dedicated to providing a whole suit of General Practice services, with a particular passion for preventing chronic disease through lifestyle changes, and minimising the effect of chronic conditions. As a clinic, we are committed to providing a valuable service for you. Indeed, we consider it an honour that you would seek healthcare at our service. Striving for innovation to meet your needs, we pride ourselves on our unique programs that we have developed to help you assess your health, and most importantly, improve it to prevent disease. You will find a detailed list of the services we have developed to help you achieve such goals, under the services tab on this page. Chronic disease is becoming an increasingly concerning problem in our community. Utilising the latest is medical research, we are committed to helping you prevent such chronic conditions. This is achieved through being proactive in regard to immunisation, screening for cancer and other conditions, and also through lifestyle modification. Lifestyle modification is something that is tailored for each individual, as "what works for one, may not work for another". Our team can help you develop a plan that is right for you, helping you become a more "healthy" you. One lifestyle intervention that we are particularly passionate about is the implementation of the "low carbohydrate, high fat" and ketogenic diets. For certain clients in our community (ie certain clients who struggle with weight management, diabetes, high blood pressure, PCOS and fatty liver to name a few), going on such a program can have significant impact on their health. We are excited about partnering with you on this journey, guiding you along the path, and providing resources and techniques to help. What ever your health needs are, we are committed to being your "healthcare home", and providing high quality care for you.

Living in Port Fairy and facing the Southern Ocean provides Heather with many wonderful subjects created by the raw power of the elements and its shaping of this coastline. The resulting ‘Dune Series’ were exhibited at Tacit Gallery in Collingwood.

Recently Heathers artwork has been concentrating on acrylic paintings and life drawing.

Heather’s latest paintings are a result of visiting Mallacoota and seeing the devastation of the catastrophic bushfires but also the extraordinary recovery of the bush.

Heather was also commissioned to paint the beautiful landscape in the Strathbogie Ranges in North East Victoria, enormous basalt rocks, gullies and bushland. She spent a lot of time riding horses through this special country.

Heathers work has been exhibited in Mansfield, Warrnambool and two solo exhibitions in Collingwood. Heathers work is in private collections around Australia, the USA and Europe.
