What a day!

My last day of clinical work before maternity leave and our beautiful, lovely Bianca's last day of reception work.

Bianca has been such an amazing benefit to the smooth running of Salt Physiotherapy and has implemented her attention to detail, quick witted humour and bubbly attitude to welcoming patients over her time here. She is handing over the reigns to Brooke, who we will introduce soon!

Today feels a bit bittersweet for me. While I’ll miss seeing my patients regularly, I’ll be stepping back to welcome a new little human into our world soon. Don't worry I’ll still be working quietly behind the scenes, keeping my finger on the pulse, even as this new chapter begins.

Thank you again to all our lovely patients who have been endlessly supportive and patient with all of the changes happening over the last few months!

Clinic update before Kiah heads off on Maternity leave.

Please note due to it being Kiah's last week in clinic, Sonja has limited availability until late March. Keep this in mind when looking for or booking appointments, as they may be restricted. We apologise for the limited appointments and accessibility to our care.

If you’re unable to find a suitable time online, this may mean we are fully booked, however we do get cancellations so please join the cancellation list/waitlist where possible.

With limited availability across the clinic, we kindly ask that you are mindful of cancellations. Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur a fee as stipulated in our terms and conditions, as this prevents other patients from accessing care during a busy period. We truly appreciate your understanding and consideration.

Our new receptionist, Brooke, will be in clinic on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, if you would like to speak to someone in person she will be here. Please give her a very joyous welcome! Outside of these times, the phone line will be unattended, but please leave a text message or voicemail and we will return your message as soon as possible.

Some exciting clinic news for 2026.

So if you haven't already heard, I am pregnant with our second baby, who is due in April! (It seems to be a catching trend here at Salt and at haha)

Huge apologies to lots of patients who are looking for and needing appointments and not being able to book online. I have closed my books online due to being at capacity and Sonja is juggling school holidays with kids and her husband being on call for the MFS. This means January has essentially no availability, however online booking will be back up and running for February.

I am planning to see patients in clinic until the end of February, before taking a behind the scenes administrative role whilst on Maternity leave. Sonja will continue to keep the wheels turning, day to day, with her Hydrotherapy, Functional Strength Classes and her normal clinic hours as per usual.

We will however see some changes, as we will only have a receptionist one day a week, which we will endeavor to ensure all our processes are streamlined to make sure that you are still able to get in touch with us.

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding, we know it's frustrating not being able to be seen as soon as you all would like. We are still on the hunt for another Physio to help us, help you! So if you know anyone who is an excellent Physio, send them our way!

So now, if you see me around the clinic or gym, you know I haven't just over indulged at Christmas!

We’re excited to welcome an amazing Holistic Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist, Georgia Cusbert who will be working alongside us at Salt Physiotherapy through her business

She offers Acupuncture and Chinese medicine along with many other therapies and will be working from our clinic space as of this week. This is a beautiful opportunity to access truly holistic care under one roof!

We love supporting like-minded practitioners and expanding the services available to our community.

Kara’s last day at the clinic today!
Although we’re so sad to see her go, we’re beyond excited to watch her step into the next chapter, motherhood!

Kara has been such a vibrant and enthusiastic part of the Salt Physio family. She’s helped so many in our community move, feel, and live better. Her impact has truly been felt and she will be sorely missed.

We celebrated her send-off with a gorgeous breakfast at , complete with plenty of cuddles from baby Annabelle (Georgie’s adorable new addition!).

Please join us in wishing Kara all the love, luck, and joy as she embarks on this next adventure!

Huge congratulations to our awesome Physio, Sonja Kerr, on her outstanding achievement at the Australian Masters Weight-Lifting Championship!

Sonja competed in Canberra and crushed it with a 59 kg Sn**ch + 79 kg Clean & Jerk for gold in both categories.

We’re beyond proud of her dedication, strength and the example she sets for all of us. Here’s to many more podiums ahead!

We do a lot more than treat musculoskeletal injuries!

Not everyone knows that you can also self refer (yes - you don’t need a doctors referral to see a physiotherapist). There are many ways your physiotherapy can also be subsidised including:
- GP referral (e.g. TCA)
- Home care package funding
- Workplace injuries
- NDIS
- + many more!

Today was Georgie's last day in the clinic before she starts maternity leave!

She’s been a wonderful part of our team, bringing such knowledge and care to her patients, and such fun to the Salt team! While we’ll miss seeing her in the clinic each week, we’re so excited for her, as she heads into mothering her second baby!

Wishing Georgie, Balt and Jimmy all the joy and happiness as they welcome their new little family member — we can’t wait to hear their news and see her back when the time is right!

All of us at Salt Physiotherapy are incredibly proud of our amazing team member and weightlifting champion Sonja Kerr as she prepares to represent Australia at the upcoming United Masters World Cup and Masters Commonwealth Championship in Singapore this week.

Sonja brings the same strength, dedication, and passion to her training as she does to our clinic — inspiring women of all ages to be their strongest, most empowered selves.
