🛠️ A few little upgrades here at Pioneer Village recently:
- New wayfinding signage, directing residents and guests, including to our new inclusive baby change room
- Upgraded light and bright treatment room, where our GP’s and medical professionals can consult
- Demolition and refit to widen our walkway - so residents can manouvere their golfers with ease
Thank you to our external contractors, and to our wonderful onsite maintenance team!

Have you met the smallest members of our crew? Our free range chickens have free rein over the premises and are often seen enjoying the sun with our residents. They particularly prefer the company of some of our cheekiest residents, who save them their meal scraps 🙈

Today, our Team shared a community meal and celebrated Guru Purab.
It was a day to come together as one and reflect on the Guru’s teachings of compassion, unity, and selfless service - all powerful pillars of our work here at Pioneer Village 🙏🏼

The Role

We have an exciting position for a passionate Personal Care Worker to join our team. Work with other carers and nursing staff to deliver quality care plan for all residents under your care. Provide care to residents in a manner which promotes independence including assistance with daily activities, such as showering, assisting with eating, cleaning, and social interaction.

Duties

Provide care to elderly residents as per care plan
Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy environment
Observe and report changes in resident health and behaviour
Liaise with medical professionals and nursing staff
Social interaction with residents
Skills and Experience

Must have a Certificate III in individual support or equivalent

Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
Previous aged care work - highly regarded

The City of Port Lincoln, in collaboration with Red Cross, invites you to join us for an event recognising the benefits of partnering with local agencies and groups to create positive change.

📍 Where: Port Lincoln Town Jetty accessible ramp, Tasman Terrace

We're excited to showcase the installed Mobi Matting, which will remain a summer feature. Repurposed from its previous location near the Port Lincoln Yacht Club, this durable pathway enables greater inclusion, providing safe and stable access for individuals using mobility aids like wheelchairs and scooters, people with visual impairments, and families with strollers to get down on to the beach.

This initiative highlights the power of collaboration and the City of Port Lincoln's commitment to improving the participation of people living with a disability in the community, creating an inclusive environment for all residents and visitors to the area.

We hope to see you at this event as we acknowledge the shared efforts that made this project possible.
