If you’ve ever questioned your ability, felt nervous to play, or struggled with confidence in sport, Estelle would love to hear your story and how you worked through it.

Let’s show our support, start the conversation, and remind young people that they’re not alone 💪✨

👇 Share your experiences below or reach out to Estelle to help with her research.

In support of one of our players Estelle Gray, please help her with her school project.

Hello everyone
This year for AIF a mandatory subject in schools, school students are required to come up with a topic to research and explore I have come up with the topic Mental Health in Teens in Sport.

If you don’t know me, I'm Estelle Gray, I play for the Boston's A1 side, I have been a part of our netball community ever since I was a very little girl. The first year I realised netball was such a big thing in my life, I let my feelings and emotions about the standard I umpired, played and presented myself while I was at netball was in under 13s. I started to feel self-conscious about my abilities, doubting myself and stressing myself out about such small things, like missing a goal in, some weeks not even wanting to play. I have learned that it is okay to feel those feelings but it is more important to try and fix those feelings so I can enjoy the sport I love the most with the amazing people around me.

So, this project is to help spread awareness about our mental health in sport, I am in the stage of researching and exploring, I would love to hear from everyone who has ever felt like you are doubting yourself, and your ability in any sport, and tell me how you have overcome these challenges. I hope everyone knows they are not alone and even people who you think and doing amazing might be feeling the same way as you!
I can’t wait to hear from you!!
