BIG NEWS 🌟
Did you know that you don’t have to travel to the big smoke to receive expert Speech Pathology care. Here in Port Macquarie we have a team of highly qualified speechies offering specialised services, including Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES). A FEES is performed to investigate someone’s swallowing by inserting a fine flexible camera via the nasal passage. We can watch someone eating and drinking in real-time to gain a better understanding of what is happening during the swallow.

Hastings Macleay Speech Pathology is a private practice in the Hastings Macleay Port Macquarie region and specialised in adult and aged care communication and swallowing disorders.
My name is Carly, and I am a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist and director of HM Speech. My husband Dan and I moved to Port Macquarie with our Cavoodle Winston in 2019. My vision and commitment is to provide the opportunity for people living in this area to access mobile private services for treatment and management of all different kinds of communication and swallowing disorders. My special interest is degenerative neurological disease such as Motor Neuron Disease and Parkinson’s.
Home visits, group therapy, individual treatment and assessment, NDIS, Aged Care Facilities, Chronic Disease Management Plans are services which HM Speech offers.
