A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Clothing for a Cause event on Saturday. Your support, smiles, and generosity made the day something truly special.

But here’s the exciting news:
👉 We still have SO many amazing items left!
So we’ve decided to keep the garage sale going this Monday — and we’re turning it up a notch.

🛍️ Fill a Bag for $5!

Yes, you read that right.
Everything in store is included.
Clothes, accessories, household bits — if it fits in the bag, it’s yours for just five dollars.

This is a community event, and everyone is welcome. Every dollar raised goes straight back into supporting mental health and people with disabilities through the work we do at Support Services For You.

A Huge Thank You to Our Incredible Community!

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity and support shown during our Clothing for a Cause event.

Thanks to your amazing donations—and the huge number of items you purchased for a gold coin—we’ve raised funds that will go directly into our Art Splash program for our clients, as well as our Mental Health Walk where we gift small surprises to strangers to brighten their day.

Your kindness truly creates ripples.

💛 But here’s the wild part… even after selling SO much, we STILL have an incredible amount of beautiful items left!

We’re talking brand‑name clothing, coffee machines, bric‑a‑brac, and so many other treasures waiting for a new home.

So… we’re keeping the good vibes going.

Meet Babbs — our camping‑loving, beach‑wandering, cooking‑queen who brings heart, humour and warmth everywhere she goes. ✨

If you’re looking for Babbs on the weekend, you’ll probably find her in one of her three favourite places:
🏕️ In her caravan, living the camping dream
👩‍🍳 In her kitchen, cooking up something delicious
🌊 At the beach, soaking up the sunshine

And if she’s managed to hit all three in one weekend?
That’s the ultimate trifecta — peak happiness achieved.

Her favourite drinks?
She keeps things simple: a good coffee to start the day, and a cold beer to finish it. ☕🍺

A fun fact about Babbs that sums her up perfectly:
She absolutely loves to cook… and she LOVES to travel even more. Whether she’s experimenting with new recipes or exploring new places, she brings curiosity, joy and warmth into everything she does.

When it comes to work, the part that lights her up the most is simple but powerful:
💚 the difference we make in people’s lives, and
💚 the work family she gets to share those moments with.

A small work win that made her smile recently?
✨ Returning full‑time — a milestone that meant more to her than words can say.

Say hello to Alicia — our latte‑loving, kitchen‑dancing, crochet‑flower queen who brings warmth, heart and a whole lot of quiet magic into everything she does.

Alicia will be the first to tell you she’s a hopeless coffee drinker — an iced caramel latte is her absolute non‑negotiable. And when it comes to plants? Let’s just say they don’t stand a chance… which is why crochet flowers have become her go‑to. They’re cute, colourful, and impossible to kill. 🌸😄

When she’s recharging, you’ll find her hanging out with friends and family, tidying up (because cleaning is her form of meditation), or spending her weekends doing one of two things:
💃 Dancing around the kitchen with her favourite drink — adult happiness (if you know, you know)…
⛳ Or out on the golf course swinging a stick, living her best weekend life.

But the part of Alicia’s story that shines the brightest?
The way she connects with people.
The best part of her job is seeing clients open up, feel safe, and truly relax around her. Kind words like:

We’d like to give a big, heartfelt shout-out to Paula, whose dedication and compassion continue to make a remarkable impact on both our clients and our team.

Paula not only supports clients by keeping their homes clean, organised, and comfortable—she consistently goes above and beyond what is required in her role.

Recently, Paula has shown exceptional care and patience with one of our clients who experiences significant anxiety and often cancels her service at the last minute. Instead of becoming discouraged, Paula took the time to gently connect with this client on a deeper level. She listened, supported, and helped her feel safe and understood.

Through Paula’s calm presence, empathy, and genuine commitment, she has helped this client feel more at ease and able to receive the service she genuinely needs—while ensuring the experience feels relaxing, not overwhelming.

Paula, your compassion, persistence, and ability to make people feel cared for truly embody the heart of what we do. Thank you for your incredible work, the meaningful relationships you build, and the comfort you bring to those who often need it most.

Say hello to Julia — our veggie‑growing, poultry‑raising, craft‑loving superstar with a talent for turning everyday life into something wholesome, beautiful and full of heart. 💚

When she’s not tending to her thriving permaculture garden, you’ll likely find her surrounded by her beloved heritage poultry. Chickens, turkeys, and soon‑to‑arrive Australian Call Ducks — if it clucks, quacks, or waddles, Julia probably adores it.

And nothing goes to waste at Jules Patch — her homegrown produce becomes delicious jams, pickles and chutneys that smell (and taste!) like pure comfort in a jar.

Creativity is her constant companion. Sewing, quilting, cross‑stitch, arts and crafts… even knitted dish cloths to keep her hands busy — Julia brings a touch of handmade magic to everything she does.

Weekends?
You’ll usually find her out at Jules Patch, soaking up the peace of her land, or spending time with her children and grandchildren — her greatest joy.

Music is always welcome in her world, and she’s currently learning to play the guitar — adding another creative layer to her already vibrant life.

One of her favourite recent work wins?
✨ Supporting a client to finally move into her own home after a 13‑year wait.
A moment filled with hope, independence and joy — and one Julia felt honoured to be part of.

Julia brings warmth, patience, creativity and genuine heart to our team.

Say hello to Tegan — our pool‑floating, iced‑coffee‑sipping, country‑music‑loving powerhouse who somehow manages to run a business, raise a family, support a community, and still host family lunches that always turn into “quick, grab a bucket of KFC — it’s 7:30pm and the kids are starving!” 😂

When she’s not reading, relaxing in the pool with her husband and kids, or planning another family get‑together, Tegan is pouring her heart into the people around her — clients, staff, and the wider community.

And here’s a fun fact:
Before life took her in a totally different direction, she was a professional dance‑track teen, training for auditions on cruise ships and even the Moulin Rouge! 💃
Then she broke her foot… found a job… met her husband… and ended up with a life she wouldn’t trade for anything.
(And yes — she actually stood inside the real Moulin Rouge in Paris in 2022!) ❤️🇫🇷

Her perfect weekend?
At home, floating in the pool with country music playing — pure bliss. ☀️

The best part of her job?
The connections.
The goosebump moments, the warm‑fuzzy feelings, the tiny wins and huge milestones that come from supporting people and watching lives transform.

And a recent work win worth celebrating?
Being recognised by the community for SSFY’s outreach programs — our monthly mental health walk, our International Women’s Day donation drive for local shelters, and our soon‑to‑launch community pantry.
It meant so much that ABC Mid North Coast reached out and invited her on the radio to share the message.

Her favourite song at the moment?
Whirlwind by Lainey Wilson — fitting for a woman who spins magic out of every day.

We adore the passion, heart, humour, and vision Tegan brings to SSFY.

Got my car detailed today and honestly… it was so dirty I’m shocked The Docs Detail didn’t charge me a “hazard pay” fee.

He picked it up, detailed it while I worked, and brought it back looking brand new.

We’ve used the big-name companies before, but none of them have impressed us like this. Incredible work, incredible prices — highly recommend! 💚

Say hello to Renae — our sparkly, music‑loving, always‑dancing beam of sunshine! ✨💛

If there’s music playing (or even if there isn’t), chances are Renae is dancing, singing, or following sparkles to her next adventure. She’s a Zumba lover, live‑music chaser, beach regular and all‑round bring‑the‑vibes kind of woman.

Her favourite drink?
A bubbly water with whatever fruit she feels that day — raspberry is the current winner. 🍓

Weekends are all about feeling alive — seeing live music with her hubby and friends (live music is LIFE, according to Renae!), spending quality time with family, exercising, and soaking up the sunshine by the ocean.

When it comes to her work, Renae lights up talking about one thing:
seeing people achieve their goals.
That smile of pride and accomplishment from clients?
“It’s so satisfying for everyone involved.”

A recent small work win that made her heart full?
✨ Helping a client pack her suitcase for a trip — something that had caused days of stress and even migraines.
Together, they completed every task, and the relief on the client’s face said it all.
No migraine. No worry. Just confidence and calm. ❤️

And music?
Let’s just say narrowing it down is impossible — but George Michael and Hunters & Collectors are always safe bets.

Renae brings energy, joy, warmth and sparkles wherever she goes — both in the office and out in the community.
