|| Granola Time 🥥🥣🌰

With the rain over the last couple of days, I felt inspired to get into the kitchen and try out a new granola recipe by Gimme Some Oven – this healthy granola includes Tahini and tastes amazing 🙏
🔸️Beautiful for breakfast with berries and coconut milk or as a healthy snack.
🔸️The official recipe is available online at Gimmesomeoven’s website with detailed instructions, here is my version:
I n g r e d i e n t s
3 cups of oats
1 cup nuts – I used macadamias, hazelnuts & added extra slivered almonds
1/2 cup tahini
1/2 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 cup coconut - shredded & flakes
D i r e c t i o n s
Combine oats & nuts in a large bowl
Combine all other ingredients in a pan, gently heat until the mixture is smooth
Combine the Tahini mix with the oats & nuts
Spread the granola on a baking tray
Bake at ~ 160 degrees for 15 min, stir it, bake for another 10-15 min
Add the coconut on top, bake for another 5 min or so (watch it so it doesn’t get too dark)
Let the granola cool and then break it up into the desired pieces.

🔸️Tahini is an excellent source of calcium, especially unhulled versions
🔸️Contains a range of other minerals including zinc & iron - its high copper content helps iron absorption
🔸️Rich in healthy fats and antioxidants
🔸️Good source of plant-based protein
