East Coast Occupational Therapy Occupational Therapist and Qualified Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor

Olivia is a registered Occupational Therapist and Qualified Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor offering Occupational Therapy services across the Mid North Coast, NSW. The below is the range of services offered by the business, inclusive of descriptions of each service:

Driving Assessments: If you have been referred by your doctor, or the RMS for an OT Driving Assessment, our Licensed Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor, Olivia can assist with your assessment. We can assist you with a general driving assessment and/or complete assessment in regard to disability related modifications such as hand controls, steering aids, left foot accelerator, additional mirrors, and vehicle transfer aids. An OT Driving Assessment involves an "off-road" assessment regarding driving history, and skills needed for driving, including vision, physical range of movement, coordination, reaction time and cognitive functioning. The assessment then proceeds to an "on-road" assessment of driving ability in a Driving Instructor's vehicle with dual braking. NDIS Services: The practice is not a registered provider and therefore will not be taking on NDIA managed clients. We are able to offer the following services to self and plan managed clients: Occupational Therapy for adults with physical, neurological, psychosocial and intellectual disabilities, including:
• Functional Assessment
• Assistive Technology Assessment
• Simple/Complex Home Modification Assessment
• Capacity Building Programs to be delivered by Support Workers to support NDIS Participants to achieve their goals.
• OT Driving Assessment and lessons with a suitable Driving Instructor can also be provided under NDIS funding. DVA & Home Care Package: Assessments funded via Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) for Home Assessment, Home Modifications and Equipment prescription. We also will provide assessments for older adults funded via My Aged Care for Assistive equipment and Home Modifications that support independence and safety.

Data from OTA’s recent survey of 600 OTs across Australia paints a concerning picture for future access to OT services under the NDIS, following the NDIA’s devastating pricing decision.

💜 Supporting a Cause Close to My Heart 💜

I’m so proud of Chantelle, who is taking on a fundraiser to support Dementia Australia. Dementia touches so many families, and the work this organisation does makes such a difference in providing support, resources, and hope.

If you’d like to get behind her and this amazing cause, you can donate or share the fundraiser below.

You can read a little more about how dementia has impacted our family personally in the link below.

Every little bit helps – whether it’s a donation or simply spreading the word. Together, we can make an impact 💜✨

I'm raising funds for people with dementia! But I need your help! Please make a donation to support my efforts and help me reach my goal to beat dementia.
