Dear Valued Clients and Colleagues,

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Lisa Toomey, an experienced Social Worker and Interplay Senior Facilitator. I am pleased to announce that HART Therapies, located at The Specialist Suites in Port Macquarie is now accepting appointments for children aged 2-12 years old, focusing on emotion regulation, anxiety, depression, difficult transitions, family breakdown, difficulties at school, attachment issues, traumatic experiences, and neurodiverse clients.
Play therapy has been shown to improve emotion regulation, social anxiety, disruptive behaviours, and many other common behavioural and developmental concerns. Interplay is a dyadic form of child-centred play therapy that invites the parent/carer into the therapeutic space and focuses on repairing and strengthening the attachment relationship between the parent/carer and the child. This method improves therapeutic outcomes for the child because the therapeutic bond occurs between the parent and child with the therapist acting as a conduit.
🌈 Hart Therapies warmly welcomes neurodiverse clients. Inclusivity is at the heart of what I do. I accept NDIS participants, ensuring that my services are accessible to everyone who can benefit from them. My fee is $180 per hour, which is below the current recommended amount under the NDIS pricing arrangements for 2024. NDIS participants can claim under item number 15_005_0118_1_3 for children under age 7 and under item number 15_621_0128_1_3 for children aged 7 and above.
