Usually there are a lot of signs before symptoms occur. Pelvic floor checks aren’t just for ‘bad births’.

Over my time; I’ve seen some of the most textbook births leading to more symptoms and not so nice things occurring.

Stop 🛑 telling yourself ‘I’ll fix it later’.

Because later is exactly how it becomes more permanent.

🤍 around 1 in 3 women are still leaking 1 year postpartum.
🤍 up to 50% experience some level of prolapse after having a baby.
🤍 high impact exercise increases symptoms when the pelvic floor isn’t rehabbed appropriately.

Some women wait.
Because the think I don’t have symptoms and it’ll just get better with time.

Symptoms might settle.
But the underlying cause of dysfunction. Still may be there and progressing.

Don’t rely on doing kegels from a TikTok video every now and then.

Your pelvic floor can’t get strong if it never relaxes.
Read that again.

If your pelvic floor is clenched, tight, overactive, or constantly “on alert,” then no amount of random Kegels is going to fix the problem.
You can’t strengthen a muscle that’s bracing for impact, you have to teach it to release first.

Think of it like walking around with your shoulders shrugged to your ears 24/7…
You don’t fix that with shoulder presses.
You fix it by letting go.

Your pelvic floor works the same way.
Relax... Reconnect... THEN strengthen.

“Why does s*x hurt after birth?”
It’s a question we hear all the time and the answer is never “just deal with it” or “it’s normal after kids.”

Yes, your body has changed.
Yes, healing takes time.
But painful s*x is ALWAYS a sign your body needs support, not a life sentence.

Scar tissue, a tight pelvic floor, dryness, nerve sensitivity, hormonal shifts…
There are LOTS of reasons s*x might feel uncomfortable postpartum
and every single one of them is treatable with the right guidance.

You deserve to feel comfortable, confident, connected, and safe in your body again.
