This week we are talking about something we are genuinely passionate about ... Psychosocial hazards.
World Day for Safety and Health at Work is coming up next week and this year the theme is psychological safety. So this week we are breaking it down in plain language for businesses.
Most workplaces already have these hazards present. They just do not recognise them for what they are.
They show up like this.
- A team that is constantly overwhelmed but nobody talks about it.
- Roles where people are not really sure what is expected of them.
- A manager who avoids difficult conversations until things boil over.
- Workers who feel like they have no say in how their work gets done.
- Constant change with little to no communication about why.
- A workplace where speaking up feels riskier than staying silent.
None of these feel like a safety issue on the surface. But they are.
And under WHS law, businesses are now expected to manage them.
This week we will share what that actually looks like in practice.
Stay with us and learn some more about this super important topic.
