Meet our newest team member, Sahba!
Sahba is a clinical psychology registrar who works with individuals experiencing complex and overlapping psychological difficulties. Her approach is person-centred and transdiagnostic, focusing on understanding each individual within the broader context of their life, relationships, and experiences.
She has experience supporting individuals presenting with trauma-related difficulties (including PTSD and complex trauma), psychological adjustment to chronic and long-term health conditions, acute distress and crisis, personality presentations, and neurodivergence. Sahba works carefully and collaboratively, particularly where difficulties have been longstanding or shaped by early or repeated life experiences.
Sahba draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-informed interventions. These approaches are integrated flexibly, guided by each person’s goals, values, and readiness for change, rather than applied in a one-size-fits-all way.
In addition to therapeutic work, Sahba provides neurodevelopmental and cognitive assessment, including assessment of attentional functioning, autism-related features, intellectual functioning, and broader cognitive profiles. Assessments are conducted with care and transparency, with the aim of supporting understanding, clarity, and informed decision-making.
At the centre of Sahba’s practice is the therapeutic relationship itself. She is committed to creating a safe, reflective, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported to develop greater insight, resilience, and psychological wellbeing.
