March has been a whirlwind of wonderful activities! From St Caths visits and fishing trips at Mandalay to enjoying lunch at the POW and celebrating end-of-month birthdays, our calendar has been full of joy and connection.

We are truly grateful for our amazing staff and residents who make every moment special. Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces is the greatest reward and a true testament to the warmth in our home. Here’s to many more memorable moments together!

On Friday, residents enjoyed a delightful High Tea with jam and cream. To celebrate World Poetry Day on the 21st, Scott engaged everyone with a fun poetry quiz. The afternoon was topped off with a cheerful happy hour hosted by Carolyn. A wonderful day full of treats and laughter!

What a wonderful day for an outing to Mandalay! Perfect weather to drop a line, soak up some vitamin D, and wet our toes. One of the residents said he wanted to catch one last fish—and guess what? He did! A great day filled with sunshine, good vibes, and a little fishing luck!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all our wonderful residents!

Today’s activities were filled with creativity and camaraderie as everyone enjoyed crafting together. There was plenty of gluing, lively chatter among friends, and the comforting presence of a lovely cuppa to keep spirits high.

The festivities continued with our St. Patrick’s Day morning tea, where residents donned green attire and fully embraced the joyful spirit of the Irish. It was a delightful time of friendship, laughter, and celebration.

Last week was filled with a variety of engaging activities that brought joy and entertainment to the residents. The Zumba classes resumed, with Cheryl and Scotty energizing the group through lively sessions.

The ice cream trolley made its rounds again, starting with Tawvale & Whitsunday Wing during the first week, followed by Crystalbrook Up and Down the next week, offering a sweet treat for everyone.

On the 11th, St Catherine’s high school students visited, bringing a special experience by baking and dancing with the residents. This was a wonderful treat that added a festive atmosphere.

Some residents enjoyed a trip to Centro on the 11th. During this outing, they treated themselves to coffee and cake or explored various retail shops, adding a leisurely shopping and dining experience to their day. This trip complemented the other social and recreational events, offering residents a chance to relax and indulge in their favorite treats.

The day concluded with a fun game of bocce, rounding out a week full of social and recreational activities.
