Being a geek, 🤓 I have to keep my brain stimulated and I’m diving deeper into stroke and brain injury based acupuncture with Zhu Scalp Acupuncture techniques
Hopefully I will never have to use these techniques but I want to learn to help my loved ones if they ever find themselves in this predicament
Day 1: I have learnt heaps, acupuncture for stroke is most effective within the first 24 hrs to within 3 days for recovery. However most times I see patients months after the episode when they’re out of hospital. By this stage it’s considered chronic and may have more effort and difficulty to regain function. Nevertheless, it’s possible. Today we observed a patient 10 yrs post episode and within 30 mins, our mentors/teachers had achieved substantial shifts due to their expertise and precision
