Most people think of their arthritic knee like a rusty hinge.

Worn down. Grinding. Eventually seizing up.

But here's the thing — you're not made of metal.

Your knee is living tissue. Your cartilage actually
relies on you moving it to get the nutrients it needs.

That squeeze and release from simply walking? That's what
keeps your knee healthy.

Walking isn't wear and tear. It's how your cartilage
stays hydrated and nourished.

“I’ve got knee arthritis, so I shouldn’t squat.”

I heard this only the other day — and this belief often leads people to avoid movement altogether.

Knees are strong.
Cartilage actually needs movement and load to stay healthy.

If squatting feels scary or uncomfortable:
• Start shallow
• Hold onto something for support
• Move within comfort
• Let your knees adapt gradually

You don’t need deep squats or perfect technique — just a safe place to start.

Have you been told you can't run because you've got knee arthritis?

Or perhaps you just think you can't?

Here's what the research actually says:

Running does NOT cause knee arthritis.

In fact, runners' cartilage is often healthier than people who sit a lot during the day.

If you're already running with knee arthritis - you don't have to stop.

If you've never run before and want to start? Approach it gradually. Your body just needs time to adapt.

Don't go all or nothing - build up slowly.
