Wings Wellness - Therapy Solutions Transformative Therapy for Children:
Unlocking Their Potential for a Happy and Fulfilling Life!

Certified Life Coach specialising in Child Psychology with qualifications in Neuropsychology, NLP, Hypnotherapy, and Meditation. As a Solutions Therapist and a mother, my passion is helping children and families navigate life’s challenges. With over 20 years in managerial roles, I recognised that coaching was key to supporting others. I often managed young adults facing insecurity, anxiety, and low self-esteem, which led me to explore how childhood experiences shape these struggles.

This led to my training as a Robbins-Madanes Strategic Interventionist Coach, and I founded Wings Wellness to help children develop the skills to grow into the best version of themselves. My mission is to equip your child with the tools to thrive.

✨ When this amazing girl first came to me, her parents were concerned. She was struggling with low confidence, had trouble setting boundaries, and was often labeled as “shy.” Like so many parents, they just wanted to see their daughter step into her full potential — socially, academically, and emotionally. 💛

Through our work together, we focused on helping her: ✅ Understand her unique strengths
✅ Identify the challenges holding her back
✅ Clarify her personal values
✅ Set meaningful goals that she was excited about
✅ Build practical tools to boost her confidence and speak up for herself

The transformation has been incredible — not just in how she shows up at school, but in how she sees herself. 🦋

A huge thank you to her parents for not only trusting me with their daughter’s growth, but also for taking the time to share her success. There is nothing better than hearing that a young person is using the tools we built together and is thriving as a result. 🙏💫

If you're a parent who feels your child has more to offer but just needs the right support to shine — I'm here. Let’s chat about how I can help.

Yes, excessive screen time can be associated with increased ADHD-like symptoms, especially in children and adolescents.

The large-scale longitudinal study published in JAMA (2018), which tracked over 2,500 adolescents with no initial ADHD symptoms found that teens who frequently engaged in digital media use (like checking social media, texting, or streaming videos) were more likely to develop symptoms consistent with ADHD over a two-year period.

The bottom line: too much screen time doesn’t cause ADHD directly, but it can exacerbate or mimic ADHD symptoms, especially in young people. Balancing screen use with offline activities, sleep, and exercise is key.

Supporting Your Child’s Mental Health: Insights from a Certified Brain Health Professional 🧠

Becoming an Amen University Certified Brain Health Professional has been a transformative step in my ability to support children, teenagers, and young clients with mental health challenges. This certification has given me an in-depth understanding of how the brain plays a crucial role in conditions like ADD, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and other mental health concerns in young people. With this knowledge, I can offer *personalised, evidence-based solutions* tailored to each child's unique needs. I now have a comprehensive toolkit of strategies that includes:

- Brain-healthy nutrition
- Lifestyle changes
- Cognitive-behavioural interventions
- Brain exercises

These approaches allow me to *provide more effective support*, helping young clients navigate their mental health challenges and promoting long-term growth and positive change.

In practice, this certification enables me to not only address the symptoms but also uncover the *root causes* of the struggles children and teenagers face. I can guide parents in understanding how brain health affects behaviour and emotions, and offer them *practical solutions* to improve their child’s well-being. I can assist with:

- Helping a child with ADD to focus better at school
- Teaching teenagers coping mechanisms for anxiety
- Boosting a young client's self-esteem

By integrating brain health strategies into my work, I can create *holistic, long-term plans* that empower both the child and their family, ensuring they have the tools to overcome challenges in a sustainable way.

It’s such a wonderful feeling to receive feedback from a parent about the positive change in her daughter’s attitude toward school. Hearing this made me feel incredibly proud and reassured that the work I’m doing is truly making a difference. Moments like these remind me how rewarding it is to help students build confidence and foster a love of learning.

Our Story

“Imagine how different our lives would be if we had learnt at a young age how to manage and challenge harmful thoughts, mindsets and behaviours?” At Wings we specialise in areas such as mild depression and anxiety, behavioural concerns, working through situations such as divorce and bullying to building self-esteem and/or working on your child’s goals. Our aim at Wings is to help your child live their fullest and healthiest life, by providing them with tools to manage any situation. We believe that it is essential to understand and work on each area of your child’s life - mindset, family, schooling, nutrition and physical activity. Often when we look for a solution we focus on one thing in solo. For example your child is labelled ADHD so you go to see a Psychologist and this may work but it may not because there are other areas which need to be explored, such as Nutrition and physical activity. Looking into every aspect helps us customise a program that incorporates everything in unison, and identifies any shortfalls.
