Dear Erica and Rawson Community,
Good morning. This would probably be my final post to address the community. I would just like to ask a little favour to support my colleague Hamdi in his journey as a pharmacy owner. This is his first and only pharmacy and he was hoping to be successful in his endeavour. As a small business owner in a rural area, he would need the whole towns' support to make the pharmacy viable. It is his main source of income after all for his family.
It was with great joy and pride but at the same time I feel a bit of pain for me to let go of my own rural practice. I had been a rural pharmacist for a very long time and truth be told after I fell sick during my previous pregnancy and wasn't able to work, I miss being a rural pharmacist hence I tried my best to make this pharmacy happen and to have my vision materialised for this country even though it may just be one tiny step for a big giant step.
For the sake of the health of the town and everyone involved, Hamdi was the best person to take over the big responsibility of looking after the health of the town. Yes, Rawson was strategically located for me to make it happen but it was also a town so close to my heart as I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, it was the people and the place that made the journey significant. Rawson though a small town has made a big impact in the space of the pharmacy industry as we continue to innovate and make equity of access to medication for all Australians a reality. This is the new page to support for the community, the pharmacy in Rawson is now called Health Mart Pharmacy:

We will continue to uphold Ruxso for our advocacy purposes. As a mother of 2 young kids, 1 being a year old, I would like to see this country to have equity of access to pharmacy care at least before I leave this planet. Wouldn't it be so good to think that when your kids grow up and they happen to be a farmer or decided to live any where in Australia, that they would be looked after by a healthcare professional and have access to pharmacy care especially life saving and essential medications.
