Have you had your 715 Health Check? 🩺

Indigenous Health Assessments are available every 9 months for First Nations People of all ages.

At RTFP, patients with a current 715 receive bulk billed routine Doctors appointments.

Why you should have this check:
⭐️ It helps catch small problems, before they can become bigger ones
⭐️ Offers an opportunity to talk about your health goals and concerns
⭐️ Helps to identify risk factors (high blood pressure, sugar levels etc)
⭐️ It supports the practice in continuing to provide bulk-billed visits for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients

Continuity of care with your regular GP practice is highly recommended by our doctors and Medicare. We are excited to continue looking after your health care needs, as your usual provider.

Meet the Team!

Alina grew up in southern Tasmania, moving to Sydney aged 18 to study for her Bachelor of Nursing at Avondale university, which she graduated from in 2002.

Alina chose nursing for many reasons, including the opportunity to travel, and to get her foot in the door of the medical field. Due to her love of learning and a desire to provide the best care possible, Alina chose to study further and since her graduation she has gone on to become a Registered Nutritionist and has studied to complete her:
⭐️ Graduate diploma in health promotion
⭐️ Graduate certificate in Primary Health Care

Having lived in the Raymond Terrace area for the past 20 years, Alina loves the small-town atmosphere and the surrounding natural beauty and farmlands here. She enjoys working with the RTFP team as the staff all show a genuine care for patients, and each other.

Outside of medicine you will find Alina:
⭐️ Cooking for friends
⭐️ Snowboarding
⭐️ Camping
⭐️ Enjoying music

Meet the Team!

Sarah spent her early years in South Africa, where her Dad ran a mission hospital. This sparked her interest in medicine and she could see what a difference healthcare could make.

Sarah originally began her studies in nursing, before she made the switch to study a Bachelor of Medicine, which she graduated from in 1998.

Sarah’s passions in medicine are vast; she enjoys the large scope of general practice. In particular, she has always had passion for Africa and refugee health, along with an interest in kids and travel medicine.

Starting at RTFP in 2002 as a registrar Sarah has been a dedicated member of the team here for 24 years, she then became a practice partner in 2017. She enjoys her time at RTFP as she loves the team environment and the patient support that our team provides. She enjoys teaching registrars as she is passionate about training new GPs.

⭐️ Outside of medicine you will find Sarah spending time with her family outdoors and often in the water. She is incredibly fond of the farm life she shares with her husband ⭐️

Meet the Team!

Dr Chris Boyle is likened to a super star here at Raymond Terrace Family Practice. With a long history of assisting and caring for our community, we have a summary of his devotion to share with you all.

Chris was born in Melbourne before his family moved to Sydney where he attended school. Once he finished high school, he went on to study at the University of NSW. He graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) and was awarded the Foundation Year Graduates’ medal.

Chris went to the Royal Newcastle Hospital for his Intern and Residency years. He did 6 months Obstetrics at the Mater Hospital, Waratah before doing a GP training term at Narromine, NSW. From there he did 6 months Obstetrics in Sheffield, UK.

In January 1984 Chris started at Raymond Terrace Family Practice, the same year the Australian Government introduced the Medicare program. He became a partner in the July of 1984. We celebrated his 40 years at the practice last July.

Chris has 3 adored grandkids although he has said the joy of grandkids is shared with the ability to hand them back at the end of the day!

Chris has taught many GPs in training (GP Registrars) over the years. This includes all of the doctors currently at RTFP and many more besides. He has also been a RACGP examiner and remains an active clinical teaching visitor, visiting registrars in other practices and giving them feedback. He was involved in setting up GP After Hours at Maitland and has been on the roster since.

Chris has seen and helped many patients here at Raymond Terrace Family Practice. He has cared for multiple generations of local families and is warmly regarded by all.

Meet the Team!

Erin has worked in the health sector for the past 16 years and has been with RTFP for the last 8. She chose to work in this field as she enjoys caring for people and her empathy can be seen in her off hours as she is a registered wildlife carer in her personal time. When she is not assisting patients, she’s at home tending to injured birds. Her consideration and concern for people is shown in her work here and she takes the role as our office ‘Mother Hen’. We are glad to have such kind hearted people in our workplace.

When Erin is not at work, she is often found:
⭐️ Caring for animals
