What a week it's been! We kicked things off with a trip to Bunnings to gear up after those storms we had, though let's be honest, who doesn't love a good Bunnings trip? We've been busy baking up a storm, building new features for the garden, and hitting the shops for all the goodies we needed to make our treats. We even made it to the treasure market, though no goodies were found! Some of us went for a swim, while others hunted down some native plants. And we wrapped it all up with a visit to the Ginger Factory today.

But wait, the most exciting news! We welcomed a bee hive to our garden! Don’t worry, they're native bees, so no stinging sting. They're going to be amazing for the garden, and we can't wait for the yummy honey.
A huge thankyou to Zaras perants Jason and Linley for gifting us with our new buzzy friends and setting them up in their new home. We love watching our new friends work hard around the garden 🐝🛒👨🏻‍🍳

Hello everyone! It's been a while, I know 😅 We've been swamped since our art exhibition! Between prepping for Christmas, shopping, baking Christmas m&m slice and iced vovo sandwich (the iced vovo sandwich was a personal favourite🤤), movies, we've also been crafting Christmas decorations.., how cool does the gingerbreadhead look so far? and assembling furniture for our new office space.

Yes, that's right, our new office space! We’ve outgrown our office in the centre and we've moved next door to a bigger space to create more opportunities for everyone. Stay tuned for photos of the new digs!

Last week's exo program trip to the butterfly house was amazing! 🦋 We learned that butterflies are drawn to bright colors, nectar-rich flowers, juicy fruits, and sunny spots. Now, we're on a mission to make our garden a butterfly haven. We've got the vibrant colors, some tasty fruits, and lots of warm, cozy spots. Hopefully, when the flowers bloom, we'll have some fluttery friends! 🌸🦋

Eco program have done it again this week. Cashing in almost $50 worth of cans, bottles and poppers. Thats less rubbish filling our landfills and going down our gutters to the ocean. We’re all becoming very aware of the dangers of littering and what it can do to the wild life and sea creatures. If you have any cans, bottles etc laying around at home we’re more then happy to come collect them 😃
Cooking was a huge success, getting the thumbs up from Zara after trying something new.
Dont forget Art Exhibition this Thursday everyone is getting excited to show their masterpieces off. If you see something you like feel free to put a bid on it 😊

Started the week off with our amazing art projects followed by a birthday celebration and refreshing our numbers before making our own Dovecote style meatball subs. Had a splash in the pool and ending the week celebrating another birthday.
Oh and almost forgot we all know how much we all love our crocs 🤭 check out our very own jibbitz there super cool 😊

Had a very busy week last week. Putting together our art work for our Art Exhibition, everyone’s been working hard to prefect their masterpieces! Had a cheese cake bake off, one being the traditional cheesecake and the other an iced vovo cheese cake… both were delicious but the iced vovo cheesecake 🤤👌

Wow where do we start! We’ve had the busiest couple of weeks creating some masterpieces, brushing up on our cooking skills, which are on point by the way! We put our money skills to the test before heading to Woolworths. Our eco program went to Dakabin trendy trush and found a few hot bargains for the garden. We went and explored Caboolture, where we found a beautiful duck pound with goose to have our lunch. We celebrated a birthday. The bus got a makeover and looks fantastic. And we finished the week off at Southbank looking at all the different arts pieces around for inspiration, we can’t wait to show everyone our beautiful art work we’ve been working super hard on 🎨🖌️🖼️

Alot of excitiment here at Dovecote today. With a few choose words, alot of admiring, alot of hand sakes, a few fist bumps, alot of questions, with heaps of huge smiles. Thank you to the Redcliffe Fire Department for coming out and showing us a thing or two. The sirens were the biggest hit at the end 😊
