On Thursday 21st May, our year 12 talented art students will be heading to Redcliffe Hospital to sell beautifully designed pieces and help raise funds for much-needed hospital essentials. The funds will go towards refurbishing rooms in palliative care.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for our school community to give back and make a meaningful difference.

Thanks to nurse-led research funded in partnership with Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital, patients living with dementia can now access weighted blankets during their hospital stay - a simple, drug-free way to reduce anxiety and agitation and raise outcomes.

This is an example of the power of the Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital community: funding practical, evidence-based solutions that make a real difference. 🥰

Today on ANZAC Day, we unite with all Australians to recognise, honour and remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served - and those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

We pay special tribute to the many medical personnel who have served with courage, often in the most challenging conditions. We are proud to have many current and former members of the Australian Defence Forces, along with those who have served in the armed forces of other Commonwealth countries, as part of our Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital community.

At Redcliffe Hospital today, staff and visitors will observe a minute of silence with the playing of the Last Post.

We will remember them. Lest we forget. ❤️

Redcliffe Hospital's Advanced Physiotherapist Katie says physio is helping to improve success rates for gynaecology and urology patients.

Redcliffe Hospital is making it easier for patients to see a pelvic health physio with a new clinic on offer. ❤️‍🩹🩺

The Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Screening Clinic (PHPSC) was established to relieve pressure from specialist waitlists and Advanced Physiotherapist Katie, who works in the clinic, is seeing the everyday difference for urology and gynaecology patients.

“There's a growing awareness of the benefits of physiotherapy in pelvic health, as opposed to other interventions, and an understanding that surgeries aren’t always first-line care anymore,” Katie said.

“Now, with our gynaecology and urology screening clinics, these patients see a physiotherapist first, while they are on the waiting list for a specialist.

“For patients in our Physiotherapy Gynaecology Screening Clinic, around 50% improve so much they don't end up needing their appointment with the gynaecologist. For our urology patients, the success rate is even higher - closer to 60%.” 👊⭐
