One of the most unforgettable moments from my trip to New Zealand with Freedom was visiting the Mauri conservation 🌿. I was unexpectedly chosen to be the chief for the day 👑, which was both an honour and a challenge I’ll never forget.

Standing in front of the tribe, I delivered a speech 🎤, stepping into a role I’d never experienced before, and felt a real sense of connection 🤝 and respect for the culture ❤️. To top it off, I joined in the haka alongside them 🪶🔥 - powerful, energising, and something that gave me chills.

It was more than just a visit; it was an experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone 💪 and left a lasting impact on me 🌟. It’s a moment I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life 🧡

Getting Archie from Australia to New Zealand wasn’t just a simple trip - it was a full journey in itself. 🐾✈️

What looked like one special experience in the snow was actually weeks of preparation, filled with strict timelines, detailed protocols, and more paperwork than we could count.

It started with applying for permits and working through both export and import requirements - not just for entering NZ, but also making sure Archie could return safely back into Australia. We had to notify the Ministry for Primary Industries and carefully follow every step they required.

Then came the airline process - making sure Archie could fly in the cabin with Madonna, rather than underneath, which meant even more applications and approvals.

In just six weeks, there were six compulsory vet visits, each one essential and time sensitive. On top of that, we organised accommodation approvals, hire car approvals, and even made sure Archie was ready for the snow with his own booties and coat. ❄️🐕

It was a big process, and at times overwhelming - but standing there watching Madonna and Archie experience the snow together made every single step worth it.

Moments like this are what Freedom is all about. 💙
