From 1am tomorrow, 2 January, face masks will now be required in all indoor settings except for in the home, if itโ€™s unsafe or if doing strenuous exercise. ๐Ÿ˜ท

We know masks may not feel natural or comfortable, but now that our borders are open for loved ones, it's vital we protect ourselves, family and friends, as COVID-19 cases increase. ๐Ÿ‘

Employers are also urged to return to work-from-home arrangements as much as practical.

For more information, visit https://www.qld.gov.au/health/covid19/masks

๐Ÿ“ข Restrictions for people who aren't fully vaccinated

Once Queensland reaches its 80% double dose milestone (estimated to be 17 December), people who aren't fully vaccinated (two doses) against COVID-19 will be unable to๐Ÿ‘‡:

๐Ÿฅ Visit hospitals, residential aged care, disability care accommodation and prisons. Exceptions apply for medical treatment, end-of-life visits, childbirth and emergency situations
๐Ÿบ Visit hotels, pubs, clubs, taverns, bars, restaurants and cafes
๐Ÿ’ƒ Attend nightclubs, live music venues, karaoke bars, concerts, theatres and cinemas
๐ŸŸ๏ธ Attend sporting stadiums and theme parks
๐ŸŽผ Go to musical festivals, folk festivals and arts festivals
๐Ÿ“š Visit Qld Government owned galleries, museums and libraries

People can access essential retail services and public transport regardless of their vaccination status.

๐Ÿ’’ Weddings will be limited to 20 people if anyone attending is unvaccinated. No limit applies where everyone is vaccinated.

๐Ÿ“ฑBusinesses will check your vaccination status on entry. Soon your proof of vaccination certificate can be linked to your Check-In Qld app to make it simple and easy to prove your vaccination status.

Once restrictions ease and our borders re-open, we expect outbreaks in the community that will put pressure on our hospital system. These measures will be in place to protect both unvaccinated people, and vaccinated people who are most vulnerable to COVID-19.

For full details on restrictions, visit https://www.qld.gov.au/health/covid-19/restrictions-80-percent-vaccination

Every year, in Australia, skin cancers account for around 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers โ˜€๏ธ.

That's why you should have your skin professionally checked every year ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ. Between your annual check up, it's important to check your skin and get to know what normal for you, in case you notice any changes. Skin cancers rarely hurt and are much more frequently seen than felt.

We've shared some pointers for how to check your skin for new spot and changes to existing freckles or moles ๐Ÿ‘‡.
