Hope Consulting & Counselling You are a mystery unfolding not a problem to be solved. They may find me because they are struggling with parenting for example.

My clients benefit from experiencing a broad and deep knowledge of a range of methods, processes and understanding. Most people in the ‘helping professions’ focus on one or two types of methods eg CBT, EMDR, NLP, Reiki, Yoga etc. And regardless of the circumstances of the person who has sought help – that is what they offer; all situations and struggles will be addressed by their favourite method. And often the client feels a bit better for a while and then not OR they think they are a problem that cannot be solved. However, it may emerge that they experienced significant childhood trauma so that is addressed along side strategies to lessen the tension around themselves and their children. They learn and practice re-parenting themselves whilst also learning to parent their own children. It makes such a big difference when your unique circumstances are addressed by an equally unique approach. One of my main strengths is a broad but deep understanding & experience of a range methods that each build and expand on the ones that came before.

Making Life Easier For Families

Children who have experienced Developmental Trauma due to prenatal difficulties, prematurity, exposure to Domestic/family violence, neglect, maltreatment or simply unaware parenting have specific hardships in living in their world. It is because of this that Hope Consulting & Counselling was founded. Our Director and Principal Consultant is a qualified Counsellor, Certified NMT Practitioner, Registered Nurse and Parent coach. Parents may be biological, step, adoptive, foster, kin or guardian. Our aim is to work with families to help the child recover.
