Which means it’s time for moustaches to make their annual comeback! From bold handlebars to modest fuzz, every Mo is grown with pride and purpose.
Movember isn’t just about facial hair, it’s about shining a light on men’s health. Throughout the month, people around the world come together to raise awareness for men’s mental health, su***de prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
So whether you’re growing, donating, moving or simply cheering from the side lines, you’re part of something powerful. Every Mo starts a conversation and those conversations can save lives.
Here’s to the mighty moustache — sparking smiles, raising funds and helping men live happier, healthier, longer lives.

It’s that time of year again... 🏆
The first Tuesday in November, when the country pauses for the Melbourne Cup! Whether you’re trackside at Flemington, watching from the office (like us), or celebrating with friends at a local venue, today’s all about fashion, fun and of course world-class racing.
This year’s Cup promises fierce competition, incredible stories from trainers, jockeys, and the magnificent horses who make it all possible. Beyond the glamour and excitement, it’s also a chance to celebrate one of Australia’s longest-running traditions, a race that’s been uniting people since 1861.
As we cheer on the field, let’s take a moment to appreciate the athleticism, spirit, and care that go into every horse’s journey and to support ongoing efforts to ensure their wellbeing both on and off the track.
So grab your fascinator, place your tips and cheer on your favourite runner — may the best horse take home the glory!

🎃 Spooky season is wrapping up… and the Christmas rush is just around the corner! 🎄
As the cobwebs and costumes get packed away, many of us start feeling the whirlwind of the festive season... Busy schedules, longer days and a dash (or two) of stress.
For those working in or visiting allied health services, this time of year can bring unique challenges. Between end-of-year deadlines, school holidays and festive commitments, it’s easy to let self-care slip through the cracks. But remember, your health and wellbeing are just as important as your to-do list.
💡 A few reminders as we head into the holiday rush:
Plan ahead: Book your physio, EP, Diet, Massage or podiatry appointments early, spots fill up fast before the holidays!
Check in with yourself: Whether it’s your posture, pain levels or mental health, now’s the time to address those niggles before the year ends.
Stay consistent: Don’t let the festive season undo your hard work! Keep up with your exercises and treatment plans.
Let’s close out the year strong, healthy, and ready for a joyful Christmas season. 🌟🎁

🌙💙 We Walked for MS! 💙🌙
Team Special K proudly represented My Health Team in the 2025 MS Moonlight Walk - even when lightning and rain tried to stop us! ⛈️
Our 2.5km Roma St walk was cancelled, but we kept the spirit alive with a mini walk, nibbles, and plenty of camaraderie at Suttons Beach. 💪💙
Because one sclerosis is too special for just one team - together, we walk for hope. ✨

🧬BREAKTHROUGH in MS Research!
The 2025 Nobel Prize in Medicine was just awarded for a discovery that could change the future of autoimmune diseases like Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
👩🔬Researchers Mary Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell, and Shimon Sakaguchi were honoured for uncovering the role of Regulatory T-Cells (Tregs) — the “brakes” of our immune system.
⚠ In MS, these brakes fail, letting the immune system attack nerve protection. This discovery opens the door to new treatments that could protect the nervous system and improve lives.
👏 A huge step forward for science, and hope for millions living with MS.

🍬How Sweet it is (to do Physical Therapy)! 🍬
How on earth can physical therapy help with diabetes, you might ask?
Well, physical therapy can be an important part of preventing and managing diabetes, primarily because your physiotherapist can recommend a range of aerobic, strength, and flexibility exercises that cause muscles to use sugar for energy and for your body to use insulin more effectively.
We can also help with tailoring an exercise plan for you, whatever your current level of fitness or other conditions, as exercise and weight management benefits all types of diabetes.

My Health Team was born from Andrew and Mark’s frustrations of not being able to fix everything with our clients. Not many of us have just the one problem when they come to see us. We often have multiple different issues that need to be addressed. It’s a lot better when someone sees the expert for each problem.
We became disillusioned from sending clients to other types of providers to get other aspects of their health fixed. Often this encounted delays in accessing other services and break down in communication, leading to longer heeling times.
We firmly believe that when a client walks in for treatment, they’re not just getting the injury treated, we are restoring their lifestyle and getting them back to what they love to do pain free.
That is why Andrew and Mark created My Health Team.
We totally understand how the system can sometimes work against you, and we vowed when we set up our clinic that we would change that.
We have seen what happens when your health care providers don’t work cohesively as a team.
This is how Andrew tells about what he observed.
“Before I started My Health Team, I was an exercise physiologist. I would be treating a client for rehabilitation, and at the same time they needed to see a dietitian for weight loss. I would send them to another company and there were often delays in getting started and a lack of team cohesiveness that would affect the clients support and ultimately impact their outcome”.
“That’s why Mark and I decided to build a team of high performing physiotherapists, podiatrists, exercise physiologists, psychologists and dietitians all working in sync and all fuelled with an unquenchable thirst for perfection.”
Andrew and Mark knew that by bringing experienced and highly-trained professionals from different health disciplines together, they could create an effective collaborative care model that would make a world of difference to their clients.
