🎉 PACER WEEK – THIS SATURDAY! 🎉

This week at Redcliffe parkrun we’re kicking things off with Pacer Week, giving everyone a great chance to chase a goal time or enjoy a steady, supported run.

We’re still looking for volunteer pacers for this weekend across a range of times. Pacing is a fantastic way to give back to the parkrun community and help others start their year feeling strong and motivated.

🕒 Pacer times needed:
• 20:00 - Shaun Goedhart
• 22:30 - Mick Kenny
• 25:00 - Tim Summerfeldt
• 27:30 - Trevor Curtis
• 30:00 - Leigh Elliott
• 32:30 - Grant O’Hara
• 35:00 - Ellen Venema
• 40:00 - Brent Brian

If you’re able to pace one of these times, please comment below with the time you can help with 🙌

Let’s make this week’s parkrun a great one — supportive, inclusive, and full of good vibes

💙 Volunteers needed for this weekend 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who has already put their hand up — it makes our job so much easier and helps parkrun run smoothly each week.

We are still looking for the following roles for this weekend:
• Marshal - Filled
• Park Walker - Filled

If you’re available to help, please comment below or send us an email.

We also have plenty of volunteer spots available in the coming weeks. If you’re able to help out at a future event, you can comment below, email us, or add your name directly to the roster here:

A friendly parkrun etiquette reminder 💙

We’re loving the extra buzz at Redcliffe parkrun at this time of year – more people, more energy, more smiles 🙌
That said, more people also means more congestion on our shared path, so a little extra awareness goes a long way.

A few important reminders:

• Keep left at all times, including at the start, so other path users can still get through.
• At both turnaround points, the path narrows – please leave space not just for runners coming the other way, but also for non-parkrun path users.
• When overtaking, don’t get too close (no surprise breathing 😅). A polite “excuse me” and a “thank you” make a big difference.
• Prams – we love seeing parents running with prams 👶💙. Please take extra care, especially if you’re moving quickly. Avoid pushing through crowds or tight spaces
• Under no circumstances should anyone speak to members of the public in a frustrated way. The path is shared and we want the community to love seeing us out there every week, not dread it.

We all love a PB, but parkrun is a free, volunteer-run event, and being courteous to the wider community matters more than any time on the clock.

Thank you for helping keep Redcliffe parkrun friendly, welcoming, and safe for everyone 💙
