This mornings visiter, knew something was up, as the bush turkeys had taken to the roof. Girls are locked up today, and I went down the back to do some chanting.
He showed no fear of me, stering straight at me, so medicine for me. This is Danu’s guise amongst the mortal, a very old path that lays in the heart of me.
Spiritually, the fox symbolizes intelligence, cunning, adaptability, and intuition, often seen as a trickster or a guide between worlds, representing transformation and clever navigation through challenges. Cultures view them as messengers, shapeshifters (like Japanese Kitsune), or guardians, teaching patience, observation, and resourcefulness, with sightings often signaling clarity or the need for swift action.
Key Spiritual Meanings:
Intelligence & Cunning: Foxes are masters of using their wit to survive, symbolizing clever problem-solving.
Adaptability & Resilience: Their ability to thrive in diverse environments reflects life flexibility and navigating change.
Intuition & Mystery: They connect to the unseen, representing intuition, dream worlds, and the boundary between realms.
Transformation: In many myths (like Kitsune), they shapeshift, representing personal growth and hidden abilities. This is also Danu’s guise amongst the mortal.
Patience & Timing: A fox waits for the right moment, teaching self-control and strategic action.
Guidance: They can be seen as guides to the spirit world or teachers of survival and escape, as noted in Lakota traditions.
