Messy Play Fun! 🎨👐

Messy play has been a huge hit lately! Did you know we can bring our portable messy play setup to each session? This means participants can enjoy sensory play wherever they feel most comfortable – at home, in the community, or during support sessions. 😁

Messy play isn’t just fun, it has so many benefits:

✨ Encourages creativity and imagination
✨ Builds fine motor skills and hand coordination
✨ Supports sensory exploration
✨ Helps develop social interaction and communication
✨ Provides a safe space to explore different textures and materials

From scooping and pouring to mixing and discovering new textures, every session is filled with laughter, learning and lots of messy fun!

If you think messy play could benefit someone you support, feel free to reach out to learn more.

There were some very happy horses today! 🐴🥕

Our participant loved feeding them carrots and proudly explained that it’s best if they get the big carrots.

Watching these moments of confidence, communication and connection is what support work is all about.

Experiences like this support wellbeing, engagement and building everyday life skills in a fun and meaningful way.

Community access today took us to Bunnings Warehouse 🔧🔨🪛🧰

One of our participants enjoyed exploring the tool aisle and choosing some equipment for their upcoming projects.

Outings like this support independence, decision-making and confidence while working toward individual NDIS goals.

It’s always great seeing participants build skills while doing something they genuinely enjoy! 🛠️

Sometimes the little moments are the best ones. ☕

A quick coffee stop during community access turned into a great chat about animals, travel and weekend plans.

These everyday conversations help build relationships, confidence and social skills in a relaxed environment.

Have you ever seen a dogface puffer fish up close? 🐡

We’ve been busy supporting one of our participants on a community access outing to explore some amazing aquatic life while looking for fish for their tank at home. 🐠

There was lots of excitement seeing all the different species, with the stingray and the dogface puffer fish definitely being favourites!

It was great getting out in the community, learning about the different fish, and chatting about what might be the perfect addition to their tank.

Outings like this are a great way to build confidence, encourage independence and support participants to explore their interests while having a bit of fun along the way.

We love helping our participants get out, try new things and enjoy the community around them. 💙

SKILL BUILDING IN ACTION 🤎🐴

We’ve been supporting participants to attend leather making clinics and classes at Bootstrap in Gatton — and the results speak for themselves!

Leatherwork is more than just a craft. It supports:

✔ Fine motor skill development
✔ Hand strength and coordination
✔ Focus and concentration
✔ Creativity and self-expression
✔ Confidence through completing a project
✔ Social interaction in a community setting

For many of our participants, attending structured community workshops like this aligns beautifully with their NDIS goals around independence, capacity building and community participation.

We love seeing the pride that comes from creating something practical and long-lasting with your own hands ... especially something so connected to rural life 🐎🌾

Hands On Farm Life provides on-site and off-site disability support, including assistance to attend community-based programs, workshops and skill-building activities.

MESSY PLAY = MAGIC ✨🫧

Nothing beats hands-on, sensory fun! Off-site messy play session was full of laughter, exploration and confidence building (and yes… a whole lot of mess 😅).

Messy play supports:
✔ Sensory regulation
✔ Emotional expression
✔ Fine motor development
✔ Confidence and independence
✔ Social interaction

At Hands On Farm Life Support Services, we offer disability support both on-site and off-site ... and the best part?

We can bring the messy play to YOU! 🚗

Whether it’s at your home, school, property or community space, we create safe, engaging, and inclusive sensory experiences tailored to individual needs.

Because learning, regulating and growing doesn’t have to be clean and tidy 🌾💛

Hey everyone!

Things have been pretty busy around here — we’ve been moving, downsizing, and getting everything ready to reopen at our new place. It’s been a lot of work, but we’re really looking forward to what’s next. 🥰

In the meantime, we’re still offering one-on-one support for people on NDIS. We’ve been helping participants get out in the community, reaching their individual goals, and of course still having the one on one sessions at our place with our beloved pets. 🏡

Thanks for sticking with us through the changes. We’re excited to welcome you back soon, with lots of farm life and good vibes. 🎉

If you’re interested in our support sessions or just want to say hi, send us a message!

🌾 A Hands on Farm Life update 🌾

I want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has supported my small business over the past 12 months. It has truly been a wonderful experience, and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing families along the way.

Regrettably, I must announce that we will be closing our doors temporarily, with no set reopening date at this time due to personal reasons. However, I will still be available for NDIS Support shifts.

Thank you all once again for your incredible support. I appreciate each and every one of you!
