✨Check it Out!✨

In order to play and move safely in the world, it’s important for children to develop their static and dynamic balance skills. Building an obstacle course is a great way to get you started! ✅🙌

⭐️Static balance involves being able to hold a hold a pose, like a musical statues! 🕺💃🏻

⭐️Dynamic balance involves controlled movements while in motion, like hopscotch. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

These 2 skills together are essential for helping children participate in activities such as learning to ride a bike or completing tabletop tasks ✏️🚲

You don’t need fancy equipment to make an obstacle course, you can recreate this activity using pillows for an elevated surface and a favourite stuffed animal for your child to pick up to make it more fun and engaging! 🤩🧸

Let us know what other fun household items you like to add to your obstacle courses! Leave a comment down below ⬇️👇

Does your little one sometimes say “tar” instead of “car” or “nake” instead of “snake”? 🐍💬

These little mix-ups can be referred to as speech errors, and they’re a typical part of learning to talk! 🗣️

But sometimes, if these errors stick around longer than expected or make it hard for others to understand your child, it might be time to chat with a Speech Pathologist 🙋‍♀️✅

If you’re wondering whether your child’s speech is on track, it’s always okay to ask for support - early intervention can help make a big difference in your child’s communication development! 🧠✨💖
