If you work long hours, too many chained to a desk looking at a computer screen, or sitting in meetings, then no doubt you will have tight neck & shoulders.
Maybe you are having headaches or shoulder pain.

A massage at least once a month is a healthy fix for this type of stress & tension.

If you like to take care of yourself, keep fit and active, exercise 3-4 times a week,
then your muscles deserve some TLC to help them keep up the pace.

A remedial or sports massage once or twice a month is recommended for body maintainence.

Regular self-care is a healthy habit.
After all, you deserve it!

Whether you're having a Remedial Masage or Acupuncture session, one treatment will provide relief and make you feel better, but sometimes one is not enough.
You may need 2 or 3 treatments in a row to get significant, consistant improvement.

After this, a maintainence session every 4 - 6 weeks is a smart move.

Prevention is better than cure. Pro-Active is better than re-active.

Prevention comes with making regular treatment part of your lifestyle,
just like regular exercise.

Muscular pain comes in many forms.
It can be tight shoulders or a sore lower back from stress or exercise.
Headaches and jaw clenching are another sign of stress and muscular tension.

Acupuncture helps reduce pain by improving blood flow,
releasing tight muscles, reducing inflammation
and calming the nervous system
Cupping can further shift the tension and support by lifting stagnation from the tissues.

Many people notice they feel lighter and more relaxed, have less pain and are moving better after one session.

Longer lasting relief can come with a series of treatments.

If you would like Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to ease your muscular pain,
Aimee Mickelburough is at Bodyactive Health every Tuesday & Thursday.

Period pain isn’t ‘normal’, it’s your body’s way of showing that something is out of balance.
In TCM, painful periods are often linked to Qi (energy) or Blood not moving smoothly, cold settling in the uterus, or underlying imbalances within the body.

Stress, too many cold or raw foods, not dressing warmly enough, and overworking can all contribute to this pattern.

Acupuncture helps ease cramping by improving circulation to the pelvis, moving stagnation, relaxing the uterus, calming inflammation and supporting the nervous system.

Moxa, a gentle heat therapy using the herb Mugwort, warms deeply within the body. It’s especially helpful for period pain that feels cold, tight or gripping, bringing warmth and softness back to the lower belly.

With regular treatment and lifestyle support, many people find their periods become less painful, with fewer clots, less bloating and steadier moods over time.

If you are experiencing painful periods, our Acupucturist Aimme Michelburough may be able to help.
