I started out on a journey to make myself harder when I was 22. To toughen myself up and be more of a man.
I decided that being a man was being courageous.
I realised early on that being courageous is different to not being scared...
Being courageous was being scared sh*tless... and going anyway.

I got into adrenaline sports and they scare the hell out of me - but my real tests came in starting a business.
When you ride a bull, you know what youre scared of - you're scared of getting stomped on, crushed, broken and dragged around the arena.
When you jump in a ring to fight - you're not scared of getting hurt, you're scared of being beaten up and submittiing in front of everyone. Showing weakness.
So you face the fear and go - it's a rush... It's a primal feeling and the best drug in the world.

My biggest fear though, was starting a business - I made excuses:

"It wont be that much fun"
"I cant travel"
"I'll be tied down"

But they were just excuses - I was scared.

Scared of failing.
Scared of losing the money I put in,
Scared of being rubbish at my job,
Scared of not getting results for my clients...

I realised this...So I started the business

When you're an entrepreneur - you're not sure what the fear is.
Sometimes you just feel lazy or tired - or you think it's just a stupid idea...
But it's not.

It's FEAR saying that.

Fear of getting laughed at, rejected.
Fear of failing and everyone finding out.
Fear of feeling low because you worked really hard and didn't succeed.

So... many people play small...
or they never even try...

Their dreams are left in their minds.
Their songs left unsung. Wow.

FEAR got them,
Because they didn't have someone to say:

"It's okay, it's just fear"

They didn't have the skills to know that feeling in their stomach can be replaced with confidence and excitement.

And that pi**es me off.
That people can have so much more and they just don't know how to face the fear.

So now fear IS my business.

I use my experience from facing it for many years and my skills as a Master Practitioner of Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Energy Psychology to help people identify it, know it and then USE it to push them forward.

I specialise in teaching entrepreneurs how to overcome the fear holding them back with one-on-one coaching and with adventure mindset retreats at Arefay.

So,

Whats holding you back?

What will overcoming that fear mean for your life?

And when do you plan on overcoming it?

In my opinion, sprinting is still the best way to get fit.

Short sessions make it easy to stay motivated, burns fat, improves fitness, builds the heart and lungs and really importantly is much better for educing stress compared to weight training.

This story has some banging nutritional info!
Great information for athletes and those looking to lose weight.

Low Carb Diet Fat or Fiction:

Professor Tim Noakes:
"The role of insulin in the body is to build fat. So if you're consistently eating every three hours carbohydrates, what happens is you consistently have an elevated insulin concentration in your blood. What that does is it drives the excess carbohydrate into the fat cells and the fat cells now cannot release the fat. The brain somehow interprets this as that you're starving. So three hours later you have to go and eat again. And that is why you get this repetitive eating behaviour in people who are eating carbohydrates.

Humans have absolutely no requirement for carbohydrate, not one gram do we require. Whereas there are essential fats and essential proteins which we cannot generate in our body. We have this fabulous liver that produces as much glucose as you require."
